Red chevrons vs black on the solider for combat strength, what is the difference?

Blacks are "null" chevrons, they don't factor. So, a soldier with 3 red chevrons contributes the most amount of strength, while a soldier with 2 black and one red contributes the least.

This actually applies to how much morale or draft papers they give - 3 red chevrons give 3 points of morale or papers, while 2 blacks and 1 red give 1 and 1, respectively. In other words, chevrons are a "soldier quality rating".

Why they bothered with black chevrons and not just have varying amount of red chevrons on the soldiers' files is beyond me.

Due to a repeating feedback about black chevrons being confusing, we decided to remove them. The change will be live in the nearest hotfix.

i've been searching for this for an hour. thanks for making an update this REALLY didnt make any sense. ALSO can you post the "attached notes" somewhere to see what the staff want you to do?

Not sure what you mean by that. If it's about the tasks from Grissing, Pravin and so on, then you can just click on the task reminder on the left edge of the screen and the popup with mission will appear again.

no not the missions.. like one of my nurses will say "i've attached a recommendation to a patient" but i have 0 clue wth that even means.

disregard i figured it out.. you have to click INTO the patient folder and it gives info... i wasnt seeing that. sorry for brain leak.

Oh, sure, you meant VIPs then. Glad you figured that out. :)

But in case anyone else needs that information - you can click a patient in the CCS with a middle mouse button to enter their bio. If they are a VIP, you will find a letter there, with all information necessary to make a decission.

it also shows up in recovery, i apparently just never noticed it.. i kept getting the damn ding saying i attached a note blah blah blah but i couldnt figure out wth it was. thanks BLS!
