AH! Thank you. Not super clear that this is a feature, and you also have to be in a game to actually close the whole application, which is strange. Alternatively you can force quite the game by pressing the guide button, which is what I was doing.
Also, for the fullscreen issue - I don't tend to have per-game controller profiles enabled for any of my games unless I'm using my Steam Controller, but it seems this collection automatically loads an official config as its controller support? I've made right stick click alt-enter in the config and that works get the game into fullscreen at launch. Again, not elegant, but it's a solution none the less.
Its an awful release, period. Even on consoles is barebone, the only decent thing is the artwork, the music you can easily use gsf files and spc on winamp (with plugin) or compatible player.
