how are the games?
looking at reviews on steam are so pointless cause most of the reviews dont actually talk about the games and just say "good games... still no friends to play with" anyone able to actually give me a real review on JB8 a nd if its worth buying and what each game is and plays and if its good?

Job Job - Possibly the best game in all packs, would need to play more but I see it staying in my top 3. Rearrange words from player prompts.

Drawful Animate - Drawful is drawful. It's pretty good, but the prompts are a little wacky here

Poll Mine - just ok, its basically you and your friends go in teams and rank stuff and you gotta guess which is highest or lowest. better guesspionage basically.

Wheel of Enormous Porportions - Not great, it's worse trivia murder party with more RNG. You basically spin a wheel to win and get more chances if you do good at trivia.

Weapons Drawn - One of the cooler concepts in a jackbox game, but by far one of the worst executions. Way too long drawing time, and some design choices make the game not great. You need to draw specific weapons to murder people, and you need to hide your calling card (a letter from your name) in the drawing. Two flaws: you can figure it out based on drawing quality and also sometimes the letters show up as cursive. Overall its convoluted, too long and bad design choices make it one of the worst games.

I played a bit yesterday with a group of 5 on the switch, here's my impressions:

Drawful Animate - I was a bit concerned at how they would execute players creating the animations, but it actually turned out to be really simple. The correct answer was typically pretty odd and occasionally really difficult to tell amongst the fake ones, but it keeps you guessing. Definitely something everyone can enjoy regardless of drawing skill.

The Wheel - Interesting trivia game with some different question formats, and heavily reliant on RNG which I personally don't mind in party games from time to time. It can be complete BS when you land on a wheel spot that gives everyone else points or someone gets the ability to switch the points of two players around, but that is part of the fun. Unless you despise RNG based games, this was a pretty solid time.

Job Job - Definitely going to become a classic. It's one of those games where the quality of the round will be dependent on how weirdly people answer their questions, and I think most of the time there would be plenty of great material to work with.

Poll Mine - This would definitely be better suited to larger groups, particularly those with 6, 8 or 10 players, but it was pretty enjoyable even though we were playing 2 v 3 yesterday. The last round can really ruin either team as you have to order the choices from least to most popular. It's one of those split the room type of games where it's not inherently funny, but can lead to some good debates and nice surprises.

Weapons Drawn - While my group seemed to have a good time with this one, I really did not for a variety of reasons. First of all, this may be the first drawing game that is more reliant on your general drawing skill rather than usually just having to draw something simple and funny. Now that could be all well and good, except the concept of this game is inherently flawed since, as mentioned by OldGoldie above, it's usually easier to figure out who is the killer from the style of the drawing rather than analysis of the pictures which is a shame.

I typically end up playing Jackbox with multiple groups, and everyone knows that I have a distinctly bad and messy drawing style that would very easily be identifiable in the game like this, so there's almost no point in me playing it haha. But even with people who can draw around and hide their letter better, I think with repeated plays, it will be pretty easy to figure out the murderer based on one's typical drawing tendencies.

Furthermore, the game felt like it lasted forever, and that wasn't even with the maximum number of players. Four separate drawings have to be done per player, then you have to analyse some of the drawings in detail and then check them all again at the end, and throughout it all, the game doesn't really vary it up with what you have to do. In the first 10 minutes you've basically seen it all, and when the game can last up to three times that length, it really doesn't do enough to justify it.

Overall, I'd say this pack has four really enjoyable games I can see being added to my party game rotation, and one game I hope to never have to play again. The best packs for me are the ones with the most variety and so this definitely ranks up there. £20-ish always seems like a steal with how much fun me and my friends typically get out of these, so I'd definitely recommend it unless you don't like the sound of 3 of the games.

None of the games can be played Solo.

So basically it boils down to:
Drawful Animate = If you/your friends can draw, it's fun. If you can't then it's basically multiple-guess Pictionary.

Wheel - Basically Trivia + RNG. It's probably the more-fun-for-everyone game as doing poorly in it doesn't mean you can't win. The Wheel portions are entirely RNG.

Job Job - Fridge Magnets. It's actually pretty fun, but it works better with more people.

Poll Mine - Completely unfair if you have an odd-number of people. This game should be played with only even numbers, or vs an audience. It's basically Family-Feud style survey questions, and you multiple choice the answers.

Weapons Drawn - I have not played this one yet as it needs 4 active players.

Job Job - Pretty fun. You play with answers that your friends give, so basically only as fun as your group makes it. Similar to Survive the Internet, your answers depend on your friend's prompts.

Wheel - It's literally just trivia with RNG about who wins. Getting more questions right will give you better odds, but you can still lose even if you get every single answer right.

Drawful Animate - Self-explanatory

Poll Mine - I might have liked this the most of any game in the pack. It's basically asks you to deduce the likes and dislikes of your friends. You rank options given to you and you guess which got the most points from everyone's collective response. The dungeon crawler aesthetic is also very fun.

Weapons Drawn - I very much dislike this game. Worst game in the pack. It's overly convoluted, but at the same time, you can break the game with dumb tactics. The theme is fun, but the execution of the gameplay is too much. There is not a lot you can do to be the "best detective". Probably one of the worst of the entire Jackbox series.

Ya seems like a lot of people don't like weapons drawn from what I've been told.
