Deepest Chamber: Resurrection

What are you having success with?
I’ve won one salvage run on difficulty 1 ao far. I did it with a mix of Mage and Priest. The blind and silence cards seem to work well. The card the removes a buff and does 5 damage is pretty good too.

What have you found that works?

Since, in my opinion, buffs stack up for monsters in the third level (and they steal yours) faster than the player can deal with them, so far the "exit" button has been my safest bet. I've won once at salvage level but this game could really use some card synergies or monster nerfing to give the player a hand.

That's just a surprising take from my perspective @Floyd R. Turbo . I immediately found this game to be gentile in introducing its methodology and strategy. Deepest Chamber may not be yet as sophisticated as it's many predecessors, but I think this game has a lot going for it, for it's early stage, especially the ability to time and track enemy attack patterns to a science. No more Slay the Spire Reddit math tabulations, just to get the 15% result in game anyway.

Before I give you some synergies to try out for yourself, here's a pic of me failing my first difficulty 6 run to the Smith with a lowly 9 hp to go lol. I'm no expert, I just bought the game 2 days ago, but the math and synergies are all there to be delved into.

I've got footage of my favorite build coming out today or tomorrow, but my my Mic is being uncooperative, and did not capture any out of game audio. Just learning how to edit in text and I'll start putting out different builds that focus on key synergies.

I for one am super excited for the development of this game, as I've already had a rocking 2 days for what I payed for it, and as I mentioned, although similar to the genre on the whole, it does have some unique perspectives.

I actually found a few combos that make the game easier depending on whether it falls into place at the right time:

1. This combo can cause the opponents to either attack an allied enemy or heal you by just luck. It focuses on the Trinkets Glass Eye and White Knight. While the White Knight's purpose is to keep cards in your hand, you'll need low-cost cards that can add defense in order to survive longer. The Glass Eye is the key to this because the combo needs you to always have low-cost cards - 0-cost and 1-cost cards - in your hand. If nobody knows, the Glass Eye changes the target of a random enemy's intent to someone. I actually used this to beat the Brothers.

2. This combo actually needs the Trinkets Black Candle and Dead Spider, as well as the debuff Papercut. With this combo going, you can essentially have as many 0-drop Acid Drops that deal 3 damage as you want - as long as you use any card you have in your hand and only use the Acid Drop from now on. The Black Candle's purpose is to revive you to 50% of health in case you die due to Papercut - essentially allowing you to keep getting and using Acid Drops.

3. This combo worked amazingly well when fighting the Queen. All you need is a single card - Transfer - and allowing the Queen to spawn a zombie Handmaiden as a minion. Once the minion is summoned, use Transfer on the Handmaiden in order to steal her ability to get strength every time she is dealt health damage. As long as you have ways to mitigate the damage to miniscule amounts and heal up when in low health, you can essentially be able to completely decimate her.

4. This last combo works similarly like the 3rd combo but only needs Trinkets to pull off. What you need is the Comb and Mushroom. On its own, the Comb only gains you the Calmness buff - which I am still confused as to its use - that ends after the enemy's turn. Combining it with Mushroom, which gives you 2x Intelligence every time a buff or debuff ends, allows you to continuously gain intelligence at the start of your next turn.

I hope these combos I told you all about are helpful.

I generally win against the Queen and the bandit trio, but I was never able to beat the blacksmith until now. Not even with strength debuff cards and reflect was I was able to tank against him.

I love the ebony blade, the mage shield that reshuffles back, and a very rare spellsteal which steals enemy buffs. And if you find mark of cain and the feathers, learn to abuse them.
