I’m facing an issue with Forza Horizon 5. The game was working fine for months, but recently it stopped launching. I have tried many solutions, but nothing worked. I’m looking for help to fix this problem.
Issue Details:
Whenever I click "Play", the game starts loading, the Forza Horizon 5 logo appears, then a black screen shows for a few seconds, and finally, the game closes itself. I didn’t know what was causing this issue, so I started testing different solutions.
I tried changing the GPU settings in Windows by going to:
Settings > Gaming > Graphics, and I set Forza Horizon 5 to run on GPU 0 (Intel Iris Xe Graphics) instead of RTX 4060.
After that, I launched the game, and surprisingly, it worked but with severe lag and stuttering, which made me realize that the game is no longer able to run on RTX 4060.
Solutions I Have Tried:
1️⃣ Tried modifying the game’s properties:
Enabled compatibility mode for Windows 7 and Windows 8.
Disabled fullscreen optimizations.
Ran the game as an administrator.
2️⃣ Verified the game files via Steam’s "Verify integrity of game files" feature.
3️⃣ Reinstalled everything, including:
The game itself.
GPU drivers.
Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables.
Even reinstalled Windows completely.
Despite all these attempts, the game still doesn’t work. If anyone can help me, I would really appreciate it.
the same happens to me but with RTX 3060
It would be useful to know what it says, for those of us trying to help.

It looks like the issue is related to the DLSS file (sl.dlss_g.dll). Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this?
If you've already done all the software troubleshooting (Closing apps, updating drivers, SFC and DISM), then my next step would be to disable XMP/EXPO and run your RAM at default speeds (Through BIOS/UEFI). If that works, slowly take your RAM up in speed until it starts crashing.
