PGG wants everyone to win at some point. Thats an easy and lazy way to do it. Even the worst driver in the world could win a match if they get one of the better lvl10 cars and knowing how to perfect start the last race.
We all know why that game mode is in forza horizon and why it is how it is.. certainly not because of artistic vision of the dev. It's just to shoehorn in and bait the fortnite crowd. Thats pretty much the theme of the horizon series nowadays.
Funny thing is that they even failed at that, creating FOMO mechanics, dances, skins, battle royal, seasonal garbage etc. This series died because the devs focused on the fortnite crowd instead of making a great horizon game.
That being said, I wish the car drops would be removed almost entirely to encourage players to actually take the massive risks they should in order to increase their chances of winning.
Mate, it's impossible to disagree with any point you made. Was a very good read.
It's just so sad what happenend to one of my favourite franchises. We can only hope that the next FM will be good since it's all on turn10.
Hopefully we get solar crown as a good horizon replacement once it finally releases.
