Optimizing for your PC
Any way to stop it from doing this? I don't have a lot of time to play this, which is already annoying because I miss cars I want, all the time. But its like every 3rd time or so I play, I get this, and it screws up all my settings and I get constant dips under 60 FPS in certain areas until I go back through and re change all the settings I had already changed before.

And I'm honestly just tired of it. Between the stupid cars locked behind weekly challenges, and this ♥♥♥♥ I'm getting close to just giving up on FH5.

If it at least didn't screw my settings up, it wouldn't be as annoying to sit there for an extra long loading screen for no reason. But it takes what should be a 2 minute startup and turns it into a 15 minute ordeal as I fix the ♥♥♥♥ it messes up.

Unfortunately it can't be stopped. It should only happen after game and driver updates.
If you use system cleaners, these will also trigger optimisation.

Update your graphic driver and windows, it should happen once and last 5 min.

I fully agree it is super annoying. It is either a bloody driver update (shorter optimization screen) or FH5 update (VERY long optimization screen) and it f*cks up all of my settings always.

These optimization things comes every week with new season so u can't stop it. Try buying m2 nvme ssd for faster loadings mb.

yeah id say it's required too have the game on a Sata SSD at minimum.
Got it on my 1 tb m.2 drive here and it's maybe 2 minutes before i get into the game from that optimizing thing going.

It's like 20x longer if you run it from a hard drive instead of SSD. It's still annoying on SSD, but it takes maybe a minute, as opposed to C-64 levels of loading time from a hard disk, where you could make dinner, eat, and take a short nap

I don't think it's supposed to change any settings because it's not doing that for me. Could be an bug. But yeah can't escape from the optimization, and you should have the game on SSD as it takes only about an minute to do from it.

if its really that big of an issue you might just play it on Xbox instead of PC.

OP posted this thread a year ago, I'm hoping he has found peace in his optimizations xD
