FH 5 or FH 4

I've never played a Forza game and obv both games are on sale. i hear 4 is better but also 5 and i'm confused about which to get. sorry if this doesn't belong here but i want others opinions. ><

They're basically the same game, but with a different map. I much prefer Mexico over Britain. 4 is also finished, while 5 has more content coming.

While Fh4 has more content I really prefer the driving model and map of FH5.

fh5 driving has been slightly improved and feels much better, fh4 has a bit more content, seasons are more visual, maps smaller.

for me personally fh5 is better- bigger map, more space, i like the climate and biomes, driving feels better

FH4 is already 4 years old. FH5 has a bigger map, better graphics, driving, sound, etc.
It's not a "story game", so don't be afraid to skip the previous games in the series. Just jump into the newest one and enjoy! :)

FH5 has improved driving model over FH4, but it doesn't mean driving model in 4 is bad. Until FH5 came out it was the best driving an arcade racer could provide.
Map in FH4 is less diverse, but thanks to that more consistent. FH5 is mini-mexico with jungle, farmlands and desert. FH4 is mostly covered with hills and forests.
FH4 has more content at the moment, because its all planned DLCs are already out, while FH5 still waits for 2nd expansion and possible car packs.
My opinion, FH4 has more well designed race tracks than FH5, especially dirt tracks if you like racing in mud.
FH4 has 4 seasons that switch every week. FH5 technically has them too, but there it's just variations of wet/dry.

You can't go wrong with either, both are great games. FH4 is better value for your money but in my opinion FH5 is still a better game. @kireta detailed the differences well above.

I bought the fh4 ultimate bundle because from videos the gameplay and graphics look almost identical. So far having an absolute blast and it looks stunning on my 4k big screen running extreme graphics settings. Bigger map than gta5 but not nearly as big as the crew. But I like the physics waaay better than both and the seasons are a nice touch. I can wait till fh5 is content complete and gets a serious sale.

nah i love change i even think FH5 UI is better and stuff, but overall FH4 is just better imo. The location is more vibrant and always feels more alive as well as some other minor bugs that don't exist in 4 that 5 has IE Smoke being pixelated to ♥♥♥♥ etc.

UK is more vibrant than Mexico: said noone ever. FH4 has teh dullest map of all Horizon games, it is still a good game but not because of its location.
