is it better than msaa x8 ?
Little'Pet🐾 Jun 21, 2022 @ 11:35am
yea taa is decent for me too in 1080p but only with the slider for the sharpening set on 8
defaut value (5) is too blurry. Btw we cant use msaa and taa in same time

Its ugly. vegetation is blurry.
It looks great when you are not moving or taking screenshots but who "plays" a game to stand still in it lol. TAA has problems when the camera is moving and that is something you can't fix as that side effect is due to how TAA works.
MSAA is always better.

Yes TAA looks bad in many games like rdr2 and cyberpunk 2077

TAA in Forza 5 is GOVNO
Chapa Jun 21, 2022 @ 12:10pm
For me it looks like there's no any AA enabled for some reason. 1080p

in a 144hz screen its silky smooth. no blur at all
8x msaa is not realistic for 95% of computers. unless all you want is picture quality with 30 fps

I'm on 3440x1440 and it looks way better than 8x MSAA, there's finally no more shimmering from the trees as MSAA looked way too oversharpened. I'm really happy with the TAA implementation!

I love TAA + sharpening Perfect graphic + 5-8% better performance like old msaa!

I'm using the default sharpness value of 5, but you can easily decrease that value on 4K, because to me personally everything over 5 starts to look oversharpened.
