I'll admit I am not particularly looking forward to it....I loved FH4 (with the seasons and it's amazing map) and really looked forward to FH5 and then was massively disappointed (pretty much no seasons beyond a bit of rain occasionally, bland map). I still play it but only because a group of us play which makes it fun rather than the game itself. I'll play FH6 as I have Game Pass but I have no anticipation or excitement about it
As far as FH6, I don't have high hopes at all. If it follows the recent trends in the gaming industry it will be TAA slop up-scaled from 640x480 resolution running at 30fps on top end hardware. All the colours will be sepia tone. The menus system will be even more unfathomable. The social features will be even more non-existant. The weekly events will be more grindy. And all the characters will have man-chin.
And that's assuming it's not free to play.
You are late to the "industry is going bad", it started 15 years ago...
PGG need to release Fable, than we can talk about next Horizon game, so my guess is November 2026
It'll be 4 years since FH5 came out, that's the longest gap in the series.
Especially if it's going to be based in Japan. You can't have Japan's car scene with FH4/5's drifting physics.
I replayed NFS'15 recently-ish (over a year ago) using a handling mode and honestly, that made the game so much better and actually worth recommending.
