Basically, yes. But the E92 is the easiest one.
If you're broke, you talk to your buddy that's willing to share some money, you buy the E92 for cheap, you put it up for sale, your buddy buys it for millions. Now you're not broke.
What I wondered about from your comment is whether some people put up vehicles like that without coordination, hoping some kind soul would buy it to give them the credits. And, that enough people actually did buy the overpriced cars to make that sort of exchange a regular thing. Certainly, I see enough cars bought at well above autoshow value to make it seem possible.
i d honestly ban such things, because its gray area and kinda exploiting, then people wonder why they got with nothing left to do, thanks to shortening grind time like this.
but thats me ofc.
For me though, since the car prices seem artificially inflated to give the publishers an excuse to sell autoshow car vouchers, I have no problem with people sharing funds. In fact, I would like if people could just send gifts of credits, but I'm sure that won't happen.
Edit: To be fair, they did add a way to gift cars to other players.
I actually spotted this myself just recently and I kinda needed cash so i bought like, idk.. 6 of them? They're a steal at 48K per car, Put a tune on them all so essentially was costing me around 120kish per car and even if people buy them at the minimum of 200k you're still gaining enough credits to upgrade some stock cars.
I don't want to sell the cars I get from the backstage pass because you can't buy more than one of the same car from the backstage.
Out of the ones I've auctioned, one sold at 12 mill , one sold for 1.1, and the rest went for 200k a pop, I'm only selling a few so I can get a couple of lamborghinis that's needed for the car thing where you get a bonus if you buy x amount.
I'm still doing races and events as usual but the auction house is there as a kind of backup investment for me personally, I have some forza editions to sell too but I'm keeping them until I buy all the wheelspins etc off them with skill points.
You can do races and earn 15k a race but some of the prices of the cars in the autoshow are ridiculous, I've seen a few going for an easy 15 mill each and credits aren't exactly easy to make without spamming Goliath races over and over which becomes extremely tedious.
:edit:
I was just looking through the AH and I saw some with a minimum bid of 12m lol, good luck with that I say.
You can get all of the really expensive classic/vintage racers for MUCH less in the auction house. For example, a Jaguar D-Type, listed for 22mil in the autoshow, goes for less than 2mil in auctions.
I know it is a random way to make money, but it is advisable to buy those cars if you can afford them. If you later get said D-type via wheelspin, you can insta-sell it for 50% list price (=11 mil) - much more than you could get from auctions. This only works if you already have the car.
Idk if this okay in the forum or not, but I have enough money (around 800mil despite gifting expensive cars like crazy (got over 750 kudos doing that), and occasionally buying M3s from newbies). If you need cash, put a couple of M3s up for auction (24hrs) and post your gamertag here, I'd buy a couple for 12mil.
I think I got the Type-D and it was from a Voucher so I can't sell it off :(
That's good, as long as you have it in your garage, you can insta-sell if you get another one via wheelspin (applies to all cars, of course).
