Nice i bought it at -50% on Steam
I thought that too, was genuinely surprised.
Same but i took the Motorsport + Horizon Premium Package for another -15% on top of the cake 😊👍.
Micro-stuttering may be related to game being installed in windows app folder, which is *heavily* protected and restricted by windows.
XBOX version may become literally unplayable if your local xbox profile gets corrupted, and only thing that fixes that is complete reinstall of windows, because there's no manual way to redownload files.
Windows Store version also has no integrity check, so if you're troubleshooting and suspect files corruption, you can only delete it and redownload whole thing.
Indeed, all of the instability i had with FH5 were mostly access/loading related. At least compared to the Steam version.
Sadly FH4 doesn"t support Impulse Triggers on Steam which is an absolute necessity using an Xbox Controller. Game doesn't feel the same at all without that support and driving is absolutely bland..
For that reason, i quickly dropped the Steam version on this one.
However Forza Motorsports & FH5 both have perfect impulse triggers on Steam so it's a no brainer.
A quick correction on your last paragraph though :
- You can redownload your save file from cloud by deleting the save folder on LocalAppdata/Packages. I agree it's not as intuitive as the steam userdata folder though.
- Xbox App added a "verify files" function a few months ago. Just right click on your installed game inside the App.
This bug is exclusive to windows store version, and if it happens you have 3 options: reinstall OS for it to do fresh install of xbl profile, set up 2nd windows profile just to play Forza from it, or move your save to xbox and play there.
Since I got it on steam it's been plain sailing, The only time I'll stutter now is if I happen to start streaming on Discord but that's its own issue separately.
How can you agree when you say the opposite of the OP my man ? 👀
Yes I am.
Easier install, easier cloud/save management, smoother due to overprotected microsoft filesystem & folders on MS Store.
I'd definitely choose Steam for FH5. MS Store for FH4 though because Steam FH4 lack support for Xbox Impulse Triggers.
