Ah that sucks man. Have you tried changing GPU drivers?
Gonna try this, but it does it to me randomly. Could be 20min to 2hr, either racing or afk in pause menu, designing vinyl. Doesn't seem to be rig related like so many are quick to point out rather the game is tripping over itself. I've reinstalled, verified files, graphics settings etc and still seems rather consistent with a miscalculation in the coding and crashing.
Same here. I have over 2000 hrs in the game and it's recently that I'm starting to notice CTD's literally every play session. Like you said, they happen at random during different activities so it's hard to pin point a cause. I'm starting to think it's related to a windows update or something It's well known that the recent windows 24H update caused issues with certain Ubisoft titles. Maybe it causes issues with FH5 too?
Crash were rare for me but i got 3 crashes this morning and 1 that made my PC reboot...
Nice weekly update...
Or last Windows cumulative update...
That's a good card. It has 20GB VRAM right? Do you know how much of that VRAM is used in this game at 4K?
I've only started playing in the last 2mth and achieved a lot. It seemed like the more I levelled up and unlocked things or participated in various things like vinyl design and sharing (getting downloads and likes) the more often I would CTD.
It was most common when I would go MIA for 5min then return to my desktop.
As part of my problem solving listed above I have also disabled GameBar through /run cmmd.
Yeah that explains a lot for me. I have a 4070ti which has more than enough horsepower to run the game max settings at 4K at around 90-100 fps without framegen but I run into VRAM pool issues even with DLSS set to balanced. I found lowering the settings to ULTRA instead of EXTREME seemed to solve my CTD issues since it lowers my VRAM usage to around 10GB. Nvidia should have given the base 4070ti 16GB but ah well...
