Personally I bought premium version and liked it this way, but the way the company introduced newer car DLCs made me rethink my take on buying newer forza games - now I only consider standard editions.
Still premium has a lot of additional content, not including everything, but most of it, so if you are ok with that, it is worth it.
If you want to know which dlcs aren't involved in premium, check their reviews. Those sneaky are rated really bad.
You could start with standard and as time passes maybe get a DLC? It does go on sale frequently.
Other DLC or seasons cars can be ignored...
The 2x credits for winning races really adds up over time and the free player house is a good as houses are expensive early game and the house comes with x2 forza points boost, which is useful for trading in for cars, or buying other points perks for cars.
