GTA 5 Modded > FH5 in Open World Driving... Ugh.
Having now reinstalled Grand Theft Auto V and added several mods, including the UHD Realistic Graphics, Wheel Support, etc .. . . I have no qualms in saying that it completely and totally blows FH5 away as an open world driving sim.

- I have GTA-V's full open world that is far more detailed, immersive, & content rich.
- FULL! wheel support, including; look-around, turn signals, hazards, headlights on/off, high/low beams, etc.
- My shifter works & REQUIRES! the use of the clutch. There's actual clutch slip...
- I have full/complete Day/Night cycles and weather conditions.
- AI is extremely interactive and feature rich, unlike FH5's horrible Drivatars.
- I have more fine-tuning for EVERY possible setting...
- No horrible looking graphics textures that pop-in as if they're trying to scare you.
- I have had ZERO! latency, drops in framerate, crashes, etc...

"Open-World" Driving Sim.. . . That's the comparison. FH5's map is excessively lacking, bland, full of wide open, wasted space, & is excessively glitchy. A 3090 ti shouldn't lose half it's framerate by driving into a slightly more dense area of the map. Poor code.

PPG and T10 should be extremely, vehemently embarrassed by FH5. It's a buggy, glitchy mess that hasn't been corrected since launch. They regurgitated and recycled most things from previous games and keep wrecking shop with buggy updates. There is absolutely NO REASON! why a 10+ year old game should be a better driving sim, than a game, 5th in the series, and less than a year old. - That's my gripe. That's the complaint and base of the argument...

No issues with FH5? LUCKY!! - You're either very lucky or only play on small, 1080p monitors, don't pay attention to the texture issues, etc. Your game is bugged, but for some reason, you fail to notice. That's cool.

This is NOT! "my" video... This PC does have similar specs to one of my desktops. Lie to me and tell me this doesn't look better than FH5; https://youtu.be/jkEkdLnTHpU

This is pretty awesome... A side by side comparison. The game on the right is TEN YEARS OLD! https://youtu.be/O6VChcEDz1Q

If MS, PPG, T10 - would allow independent modders to mod this game, it would finally get fixed and run unbelievably well...

Good for you. I'm happy for you, but your anectdotal experience is irrelevent, given the massive amount of bugs, glitches, lack of features, etc. These forums are full of posts about most all of them.

My game runs great. No frame drops, 120fps when unlocked. I manually limit it to 72fps and it stays there for hours. Logitech G920 wheel works perfect, graphics look really good at a mix of Ultra/Extreme at 1440p, apart from some pop-in that is unnoticeable, unless you are really paying attention.

I've had virtually zero crashing problems since before release, until the Hot Wheels expansion brought a constant crash when traveling to the map. And that has been fixed, at least on my end.

I am not saying you aren't experiencing problems. It's just that everyone's experience is different, depending on your system and where you play the game. People can argue all they want, but the Windows App version of this game is - for better or for worse- superior to the Steam version. If you buy it here, you might be subject to a lot of problems that the game was known for back in FH3 and FM7 for Windows. Problems that were fixed in that platform. Remember that the Steam version is ported by a third party studio.

And comparing a 10 year-old modded game that is a completely different genre, does not work man. Just saying. If you like GTA, keep playing that. A game like Forza is for a different kind of audience.

Direct comparison as an "Open World" Driving Simulation. - FH5 has terrible wheel support, the physics/dynamics are unrealistic, & the PC version of this game is massively, absurdly buggy. Wheel support is not at all great, the clutch is useless/pointless, handbrake completely kills throttle input, etc, etc, etc. You can quickly and easily search Reddit for all kinds of posts about it or YouTube for all kinds of videos about it... I have multiple rigs, both desktop and laptop and this game has horrible graphics optimization on ALL of them... even the one with a 3090 ti and 64GB of RAM. There's absolutely no reason why it should run less well on such a system than FH4 does. NO - OTHER - GAMES ... NONE! - Not a single other game has any issues, whatsoever. Only this one. The "Pop-in" is always EXTREMELY!! annoying and noticeable on a 144hz 4k monitor.

Comparing FH5 and GTA5 is like comparing FIFA and Minecraft. These are completely different games for different purposes.

RACING? - Yeah... I'm NOT talking about "racing"... Not at all. Never mentioned it.... Of course a RACING GAME! is going to have better overall races than a NON "racing" game. It's so weird how that works.

In terms of "Simulation" - Simulated driving with a full wheel rig, high-end pc, 144hz 4k monitor, etc - There's no comparison. Even GTA-V's AI engine is leagues ahead of FH5. FH5 has some of the worst, most poorly implemented AI drivers in any game, racing or otherwise. The graphics, environment, AI interaction, real world ambience, etc, etc, etc is far beyond FH5's extremely bland, boring, and highly wasted space of a map. - Even the radio stations, music, etc are far better and more diverse. The environment is rich with every imaginable real-world thing... EVERYTHING! Even bugs flying around on the breeze... There are far more realistic wrecks, AI that seeks out revenge, etc, etc, etc!! -

Then why do you even talk? FH5 is a RFACING game. Don't need a high-end PC to run GTA 5 in 144hz, even with mods, it is a 10 years old game!

So appels are better than pears? According to who? You?

Because, its a NEW!!! *&^%!! GAME!! - Less than a year old that performs worse than it's own older variants and a game that is over TEN YEARS OLD!! - What are you not getting??

Even more things I've noticed:

The clutch is FULLY functional and required. Unlike FH5, you actually have to use the clutch, realistically to shift gears or risk damaging the car... - The gears grind like hell if you throw the car in gear without the clutch or mis-shift... - FH5 has no such things. NOTHING like it. They can't even properly implement a handbrake. - Turn Manual/Clutch control ON and the throttle gets completely turned off when using the handbrake. If you keep responding, I'm just going to keep on listing out all of these features that this 10+ year old game has that FH5 does not... PATHETIC!

NOT when GTA-V is fully modded and updated... It far surpasses FH5 as an open-world driver.

Does not change anything, GTA 5 with a 1000 m,ods is still GTA 5 aka not a racing game.

I play Spider-man these days, should I also compare it to FH5?Open world is just a feature, not the game genre.

If you want to be childish and off-topic, SURE! Compare away... I have repeatedly stated that I am comparing FH5 to GTA-V as an "Open-World Driving Simulator... REPEATEDLY... but, you keep going off the rails with silly BS. OOOooookay.
