But forcing that on people in general is just a dumb take on this topic.
As much as i am going in the complete opposite direction and say for certain things assists should be turned off for everyone (trial for example), i'm not gonna demand that my idea should be implemented, neither should yours. Let players have the option to enable or disable that stuff.
ergo devs have got them wrong when off, so just have them on for everyone all the time!
the cars feel really bad and unreal with assists off.
i am not forcing people to drive bad with cars which don't drive properly, others are doing that to me though. ...and i can drive good.
Yes i can and do prefer the handling with assists off as do may others obviously. It is more fun to me. And if you honestly think it is like driving on ice with grease on it you have no idea how to set up your cars it seems. Ultimately with your idea of assists on for everyone you force players to play in a way they don't want to. Turning assists on or off is a choice and it's fine the way it is.
pure racing would have everyone with the same! so that it, IS JUST ABOUT THE DRIVER.
Why is this such a problem for you? Are you scared of choices or something?
They're called OPTIONS for a reason. Those are not mandatory.
Don't be a jerk.
For one, in "pure" racing, not all cars are equal. They don't all have the same tech. An old trans am or viper wouldn't even have these features at all. But newer cars might.
So turning things all on, or all off isn't remotely close to how it works.
Keep in mind the Horizon games are about freedom. So forcing things isn't how they get down.
Unrelated to the OPs demand, I kinda wish older cars that didn't have TCS/SC needed upgrades in-game to add said tech. That would be neato. But I know they wouldn't do it. I don't think most people would appreciate it to be honest.
my objection is thus; yesterday i tried pvp with assists off, kept doing 360's. so i would have to retune some of my vehicles for pvp with traction on [so they dont spin all the time], and then have to retune them with assists off for offline races and festival races [the ones not pvp required].
what is it that i am not understanding? you know what racing is yes? they add traction controls because before that the cars didn't handle as well. ergo assists switched on, should make you faster and brake much better, especially if you also switch abs off as well.
maybe i should just keep assists off and retune everything, and contend with the horrible and unrealistic handling?
