Manual transmission auto shifting? You serious?
How hard is it, honestly?
Red line the car in any gear and eventually it just shifts up on it's own. Shifts down on it's own too.
Somehow I doubt I would ever suffer this problem on Assetto Corsa.
Or is this the final boss of hand-holding "gamers"? Was this by design because manual transmission was too hard? They needed a semi-manual trans so they don't have to feel bad about their inadequacy?
THE MANUAL TRANSMISSION DOESNT WORK!
FUNDAMENTAL FUNCTIONALITY!
Think I'll just uninstall and save myself A HUNDRED AND FIFTY GIGABYTES of drive space.
It's Microsoft, why would I ever be surprised. Classic.

You're experiencing a bug or something. That does not happen.

I second this, been using manual ever since the game came out with no issue, you either have something set up wrong in the settings or your game's bugged

In case anyone wants a third opinion, I've had over 600 hours playing on manual with a SteelSeries controller and never had any issue. I've never experienced the behaviour you've described.
Came to post something about this as this exact thing is suddenly happening to me. Ive been using the same controller for months and have no other problems in other games - yet suddenly in forza in manual shift difficulty my car is shifting down and up by itself randomly. Definitely some kind of bug.

It doesn't happen to me. It's a problem with your environment, but since you didn't mention it at all, that's all I can say. By the way, I have played 2000 hours, switching between automatic and manual, and it has just never happened to me.
Yep, happens to me too. Bug, i guess.
