Forzathon Weekly Challenge Bug?

Trying to complete the Summer Forzathon Weekly Challenge using the 2017 Nissan GT-R. I'm on part 4 of the challenge where the challenge is to complete 2x Awesome Drifts while in Road Racing Events. Anyone else struggling with this not triggering? I've completed no less than 5 or so different road races and completed multiple Ultimate, and Awesome Drifts during the race, yet the progress still doesn't show completed. Bug? Restart? Can't figure this one out...

It took a while for me to get the second one on part 4. Don't know why but I got it in the end.

Which race did you do? Any particular road race you did or I should try to complete this step?

At first I did the Bahia De Plano Circuit in the north west and, after trying a few races and not getting the challenge, I switched to (I think) Dunas Blancas Sprint just east of there.

I don't remember if it triggered the challenge the first time though.

I'm useless at drifting so I knew this would cause me problems. I quickly realised e braking wasn't going to work, so restarted the race (can't remember which track), let the AI all go ahead, then at an open space, I raced around it (ie off the route) and it triggered quickly. It was a stupid challenge IMO.

I did the same sorta thing, just did a race and let them go ahead it wasn't the point to win the race anyway and i did it on the Bahia De Plano.

It didn't unlock for me either and I definitely got 2x Awesome Drifts on a road race. I'm not sure if the game distinguishes between normal drifts and e-drifts cause if so, that might be my issue.

I just sacrificed one win on a circle road race and turned off traction and stability control after that it was easy to do and I still won tho coz I quit the race right after drifting

this was it. just got it after trying it again with normal drifts on Playa Azul Circuit.

Yep same. Thanks Guys! I was just being an idiot and not realizing there is an actual difference between conducting a "regular" drift, and an e-drift initiated with the handbrake. Been a Forza veteran for years too and never actually knew this....Can't believe I wasted so much time on this trying to figure that out.

i'm trying to do the danger sign step but after completing the previous 2 steps i'm now getting a message saying it's the wrong car for the event, anyone come across this?

Dont use hand break, it says 2 Awesome Drift skills, not e-drift
Sat with this one for a while before I noticed

So guys, do NOT use hand break for drifting and you'll complete this one
