This GPU has had issues with this game since launch for me (mainly when lots of effects like rain, dust, sand, fireworks go off, the game noticeably drops frames) and the fact that neither AMD nor PGG has done anything to fix it is infuriating. This, however, is absolutely unacceptable. Its not even playable.
sorry this is just pathetic. maybe the run when i disabled all was pure luck.
this sucks so hard...
-Huge amount of Nvidia users can't even get past the intro because they crash on the introduction mission
-AMD (at least 6800(XT)) users get around 30 FPS at all times, with it dipping into low 20's at some spots
What a launch. Unbelievable. The worst thing about the AMD issue is that this has been a problem since LAUNCH, and it has never been fixed. I have always had FPS drops when lots of cars drove through rain or sand, or when fireworks went off in the distance. Now they are extensively using the effects that cause the problem, and there you go, it suddenly becomes very clear that the problem has always been there. Well done PGG and Turn 10, absolutely genius.
They need to fix the optimisation ASP !!!
I see now GPU Util is ranging between 6% and 45% ........... WTF xxxxxx
