This game turns my GPU into a volcano
its the only game where my GPU is so hot that I cant even put my leg on the pc cause the crystal of my case its burning. Is this normal? How can I reduce this? I believe its only an issue with this game since the rest of the games my GPU is ok. Its a RTX 3070

Limit your FPS, a GPU will automatically stops if it runs too hot.

If your plasticv case iis burning theres a problem with teh case itself not having enough airflow.

Without more data bout the case itsel, how the GPU is mounted and the room temperature (and even the GPU temp readings, you can easily see them using a simple program like Hardware Monitor) it is hard to help you furtjer.

I have a program to check temperature but i was too lazy LOL. I will try check, what is the normal temp for a gpu while gaming? I didnt use the program to check but I know it was hot af cause my leg was burning x)

For a 3070 under full load? anything up to 80C could be called 'normal', if your case has poor airflow or your card has particularly bad cooling solution. Realistically, I'd say if it is hitting more than 76c it's running a bit hot.

My 3070 is both undervolted and usually locked to 60, 75, or 90 frames (I'll take STEADY framerates over high but full of dips, thanks), depending on game, so I don't see temps above 60 very often, but I also have a lian-li airflow case, so it gets help from that. So far haven't really run into anything that pushes it in those conditions, even at maximum settings @1440p.

Unless it's hitting temp limit warnings, I'd say you could safely ignore it. But if you are really concerned, keep in mind that the case can have an absolutely absurd effect on temps.
For reference I had a 2060S prior that went from hitting thermal limit any time it tried to stretch it's legs (so 83c) to only breaching 65c in the most demanding games at max or near max settings, @1080p in both scenarios. Only thing that changed for it was the case it was in, and with it, the airflow.

I dont know how to attach screenshots here but I tested and I get :
GPU Speed: 100% (as per the graphics seems it can go higher
GPU Temp: 85º
VRAM usage: 20%

is this ok ? or its dangerous? I also lowered my graphic settings from Epic to Ultra and capped fps at 160

85 is fine
You can also cap your fps ingame to half of your monitors refresh rate (if you have high refresh monitor) and keep your gpu load a bit lower and have a steady fps.

For PC this temp it's quite high. For laptop is normal.

Im on PC. I will try to clean the dust of my case too later today to see if it helps. I prefered to stop playing the game until this is sorted, I think 85-86 is too high I never saw that temp before on my pc

don t listen to sherlock xD which gpu is it exactly? 3070´s can go above 90 degrees before they re even throttling.

i mean which company and model...you even can check the specifications then and see its limits

Do you not have fans in your case?
Sherlok Jul 15, 2022 @ 9:20am
I have a 3070 too (Palit GamingPro one) and it never goes hotter than 75C. I'd been pretty worried if it was 85 even with knowing a specs.

Them being able to go above 90c doesn't mean it's good for the card. Especially when a quick google search shows most people not breaching 80c with a 3070, even in synthetic benchmarks. That points toward there being some sort of thermal issue on his end. It's entirely possible his case is just bad, and if that's the case his only options are to try to shove more fans in, or to transplant into a less stifled one.

Knowing what his OTHER temps are doing can help track it down to if it's his case, or if maybe his particular model of 3070 just has a really bad cooling solution in general.

yes I have 3 + the 3 of the GPU, but my case is on the floor in a corner of the room so that might be also affecting temps
DarkWolf Jul 15, 2022 @ 9:59am
I have a 5700XT, and the game runs at 144 FPS. The fans don't even ramp up when playing FH5. Turn up your GPU fans and lock the FPS to your monitor refresh rate.
