ATM I've turned on VSync - but to enable that you have to set fps to 60 which isn't ideal.

If you are trying to run, say 144fps, on a 60Hz monitor, then you are going to get screen tearing and lag. When I first started playing FH4, the fps was auto set to 60 (which matched my monitor's Hz)..at some point, the game changed it to unlocked and it was trying to run 150fps which was causing bad screen tearing and lag as it was constantly dropping down to 60 before bouncing back up again. Fixing it back to 60 solved the issue and I never had an issue again

I've seen screen tearing in the map screen before. Yes it's a bit annoying, but as long as it doesn't effect the actual gameplay I don't see the point worrying about it. I certainly would not recommend turning on VSync just to fix the map; you'll be throwing away frames in the actual game.

A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
