Steam Deck - Unable to click to sign in?

I start the game, get the prompt to sign in to my MS account but I literally can’t click anywhere.

Sometimes I get to the sign in page but no matter what I click or even use touch, it won’t let me input anything or even back out. I can pull up the steam keyboard but it does nothing.

Already tried restarting it multiple times, clicked and touched everywhere on the screen and nothing. TIA

EDIT WITH FIX: It seems the Steam Deck changes the controller type so all you have to do is go into the Steam controller edit layouts and change the right trackpad to act like a mouse and to make the right trackpad a click to register as a left mouse click. Hope that helps someone in the future.

going through the same situation. there is a work around on windows, imma try it later on when i get home and give an update. the sign in should sync on the steam deck

Thanks for the tip! Would love to hear if it worked. Going to try to mess around on my phone too.

I’m currently verifying the integrity of the files to see if that helps make the touch functionality work at least. So weird as I had to do same thing for FH4 a few days ago with no problem.

I've been having the same problem. I was able to sign in and launch the game like 3 times but now it gives me that message.

Seems Xbox is having outages with logins and accounts. Hopefully that’s the culprit

Just tried it again on my Steam Deck and it’s not letting me click or tap anywhere. Hope you have better luck!

Found the culprit! Turns out it was just the controller layout. I added a more detailed fix in the original post

Thanks for posting the fix for this! I had the same problem with FH4

On my SD it simply shows home screen with Start and Accessibility buttons. No pop-up login screen, no buttons for login. Work only A and X buttons, both start loading something then a message that I can't play with no sign in. The same in both game and desktop modes. Can't find any posts with the same problem.

It wasn't working for me for 10 minutes or so, then I have changed the controller to mouse, somehow the sign in window did appear (before it was a grey square), then after several attempts it even did recognise me without requiring me to enter my password again, then "Sign in" as this account didn't work, and then it worked
