Tips for a FAST drag car?

I'm trying to build a decent vehicle to crush my competition in Mexico on the airstrip thing.

I can't seem to build a fast enough car yet, my 0-60 times are about 2.4 seconds and my top speeds are around 320-350kmh...

I've got fully built cars, they just don't seem to launch or have a good top speed...
Other drivers are most quick, even with same level vehicles.

What are some tips for tuning your car for drag racing?
