Try placing multiple bids on the same car, and go for stock cars, people usually go for the tuned cars because then they don't have to pay for upgrades. Sometimes I have 5-10 bids on a car that I want and usually win at least one, and if I win more than one then I just put it back up on auction and keep one.
Edit: I know the auction house is annyoing, but it's well worth it, especially if you want rare or more expensive cars. You can save and make a lot on the auction house if you get the hang of it.
The 2016 Audi R8 V10 Plus is 240K on the autoshow, meanwhile the buyout in the auction house is around 400-500K. So you are paying almost double if you buyout.
The most absurd case of this is the 2008 BMW M3 which costs 48K at the autoshow and has a buyout of 12 Million. There was also the Lynk & Co 03+ which costs 40K at the autoshow and had a 4,5M buyout during the Lunar event and people were selling it nonstop and people bought it cause they thought it's a rare car. I sold 10 of them for 4M each during the event. I put them up for like 50K and several people bought it out for 4-4,5M.
But if a car is cheaper with buyout at the auction house than in the autoshow and there's high demand for it then yeah buyout is worth it.
If you want something badly then just buy out.
Also, I tried to get a Yaris GR for like 10 times by just buying it out for the full price, a ridicolous 20 million CR, and I still wasn't able because someone else was 1 millisecond faster than me. WTF is this sh*t?
Ridiculously annoying, unfinished and often stupid game. What "saves" this game is the car mechanics/physics/gameplay.
plus those people can just buy it outright after spending 10 minutes trying to get it normally; very well thought out. the problem of bots has just been replaced by the problem of the auctions being completely useless except if you have no life and are going to camp it for 30 minutes
Bidding keeps going until everyone else drops out, or someone loses patience and pays full price. Former happens when there's plenty of supply and low demand, latter when things are other way around.
You're not buying from game, but from other players, and they want to get as much CR out of the deal as possible. If you try to lowball someone on hot item, you'll only waste time, yes.
You can keep the yapping to yourself as because it is unrelated and irrelevant, nobody cares.
The place you're looking for if you think that interpreting what someone else said however you want and yapping vaguely related stuff is a "scathing takedown" is reddit. This is not reddit. Go away.
