Does it have Cross-save?

My friend played on the xbox app and wants to know if he buys it on steam if he will have to restart. i have found mixed answers online. Thank you.

There is no cross-saves between Xbox app and Steam for Horizon 5.

It does not have cross-save. If he buys, he has to restart. I know this because I played FH4 on xbox app with game pass, then I bought steam version, and my save didn't show up. Good thing is that xbox save still exist, if I buy game pass again, I can continue

Long answer: Cross-save is only compatible between Xbox platforms. Consoles and app. Steam is not included in this.

If you don't want to believe us, let your friend buy it, and then he can refund it when he realizes he has to start from scratch.

SNOW is lying. He doesn't even have the game on Steam.

you can continue play it if you buying from steam, because you login with microsoft account at the homecreen game

I know i'm a few days late, but i did see this thread and i want to correct some people;
No, there is no cross-save. Just buying the game on steam does not transfer your save file and you'll have to start from scratch.
However, you can manually move the save file to steam, it isn't the easiest, but it's also not too complicated. I did that myself (since steam just has considerably better controller support).

Just remember to make backups 'n all so you don't shoot yourself :)

i bought it from my other turkey acc before they change the currency ive spent 175hours i think on it you can check it out on my profile so yea and i got the Premium Edition for 40$ -35$،abt the cross save i just did a mistake ik any1 makes mistakes ur just a human and i just forget it so yea i just want to point that i have the game and saying facts and this called being mistaken not lying btw thank you
