However, my laptop with i7 8th Gen / NV 1070, with the same windows build version and NV driver. The issue did not happen on the laptop.
However, with same windows 11 build and NV driver, the purple tint is still there.
After a long weekend, I only receive the customer reply from FH5: is the issue solved ?
Amazing !
I uninstalled latest CORSAIR iCUE v4 and installed latest CORSAIR iCUE v3 (legacy version) in the clean-installed Windows (to be on par with the same version I have in affected installation), and problem still doesn't happen. So it seems like iCue is not the issue.... HOWEVER, I remember having stopped some useless Corsair services in affected installation (like those for hardware monitoring/OSD), so more testing is needed here.
Well, so I won't bother anymore about iCUE, as it's probably not related to the issue.
That's why i'm worried about trying to find out the reason of this issue, because judging by the number of affected people, developers might not be able to reproduce the issue at all, what could keep it from being fixed.
I plan to reset my Windows 11 installation if I can't find the root cause of this issue fast enough. If it fixes the issue, I just start installing the things I need again. It will be less time consuming than having to switch to USB Windows Installation that's running from a standard HDD.
If anyone is interested, below are some things I have installed in my affected Windows installation. I'll post them here because I'll only be able to do more testing later today, so someone can make something out of it... (all software below isn't installed in my clean-installation Windows yet)
Installed drivers:
-ViGEm Bus Driver (game controller emulation. See https://github.com/ViGEm/ViGEmBus )
-GIMX adapter;
-Western Digital SES driver;
Installed applications:
-Soundblaster Connect
-Davinci Resolve 17
-Visual Studio 2019 (I can't detail the optional components, as there's a lot of them)
Also, can someone affected by the issue please post your DXDIAG file?
How to do it: (copied from Intel site)
1 - From the Windows desktop, press the Windows and R keys to open the Run window.
2 - In the Open: field of the Run window, type dxdiag. Click OK or the Enter key to open the DirectX Diagnostic Tool. If prompted to check if your drivers are digitally signed, click Yes.
3 - In the DirectX Diagnostic Tool window, choose Save All Information.
4 - In the Save As window, the DirectX information is saved as a text (.TXT) file. Choose the Desktop or another easily accessible location to save your file, and then click Save.
5 - Upload the file somewhere and share it here.
If anyone else is actively trying to test something, here's a interesting detail:
When you launch the game, right after the XBOX GAME STUDIOS screen disappears, there's a pink "flash" before title screen appears.
See here: (recorded from my affected Windows installation)
https://youtu.be/-i6ahoA8ybE
I'm not sure it's the same issue, but in my clean Windows installation, this pink flash doesn't happen, and game can be played normally.
Thanks!
Great, guess you probably know how to coding !
As my understanding in computer graphic, I think it highly related to VGA problem cause the something wrong when writing data to VGA buffer.
That purple (rgb value) looks like a default value or something like that since I saw it in my past experience. (just cant remember)
I was wondering it is caused my insufficient VGA memory, thus tried without extended screen, and lowest video quality, but no luck.
And I just tried the tunnel path as mentioned above. It turned out, there was a moment about exiting the tunnel, the graphic become normal ( inside tunnel, still purple tint )
Once fully outside tunnel, a mysterious purple light cover it again.
Also I can observe the pink flash after splash screen.
Only FH5 dev know what had changed in their release related to those rendering part...
I believe a new display port cable would not relate to this issue based on following facts:
1. Other games works normal
2. In game menu / overlay is normal (that is only 3d render part in FH5 is bugged)
3. Just tried, once a moment exiting the tunnel, it become normal if stay on that point.
most important is
4. It occurred after update.
Nvidia Control Panel -> Display -> Adjust desktop color settings
Double check everything's kosher in it, try the override, at the very least you can manually colour correct it as a horrible workaround, since you'll probably need to reset it back every time you exit the game so the colours aren't fubared.
Windows also has a seperate color filter setting, not sure why that would turn on for a single game though. And at some point it also had a seperate color calibration, though I can't find that at the moment.
Same here, made a ticket 1 hour after patch dropped, received a single reply asking me on which SSD my game is installed on :/
And the stupid ticket system automatically ask me every week:
Is the issue fix, if no reply, we will close this ticket.
What a wonderful customer service !
I do some coding and 3D work, but nothing directly related to game development.
As for the purple color being a default color, I've already saw this color representing a transparent area in some tools I used.
I believe you haven't seen how game looks when this problem manifests itself.
Well, I've uninstalled pratically everything in my PC, and nothing helped.
I'll list here some things I've uninstalled (as I can't remember everything I had), so that you can at least have a reference of what apps won't probably matter:
-Net Core Runtime
-Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (All versions, as I had actually every version installed, x86 and x64)
-Sound Blaster Command
-Sound Blaster USB Audio Driver
-Visual Studio Community 2017
-Host OpenAL
-Creative Sound Blaster USB Audio Drivers Installer
-Creative USB Native ASIO
-Dolby Digital Live Pack version
-DTS Connect Pack
-Corsair iCUE 4 Software
-Gaming Services
-Microsoft Games for Windows - Live Redistributable
-Microsoft Games for Windows Marketplace
-Windows Driver Package - Silicon Laboratories Inc. (silabser) Ports
-USBDk Runtime Libraries
-Sandboxie Plus
-Xbox Live
-The Crew 2 (a game, but has BattlEye anti-cheat component)
The only things I've kept in my system were Steam games (Steam installs games in Windows).
Just as I expected, I've reset my Windows 11 PC (option "Reset this PC") keeping personal files, and it worked.
I'm pretty confident now that things I install from now on won't matter anymore. My guess is some obscure setting was triggering this issue. Anyway, I'm now free from this problem.
I'll report here if something breaks the game again, anyway.
I hope Forza Support can reply your tickets with a solution for this that doesn't rely on resetting your PCs.
But again, judging by the very small number of people affected, it might be the fastest solution (though not the most practical one, as you need to reinstall everything).

im not sure if anyone has tested with HDR on this issue, but here goes:
1) HDR on in game and on in Windows
- this helped a bit. the strength of the tint is mostly reduced but the tint is still visibly there when it is the day time in game, and when night falls in the game it becomes super bright pink/purple that i cant even see where is the road, its like driving in dense fog with no fog lights.
2) HDR off in game and off in Windows
- this is gives off the normal strength of the tint. whole screen is pink/purple
3) HDR off in game and on in Windows (don't know if it's possible)
- this is possible. but its the same as point 2.
4) HDR on in game and off in Windows (ok, this one might be impossible)
- this is definitely impossible.
at this point, i might as well reset my PC. i really think its gonna be a while before this issue gets resloved.
