Sorry dude you are 30 years too late, in the 90s most racing games had split screen. Today most games have online instead, because we have better internetspeed nowadays.

My best memories is from Need for Speed 2 SE in split screen with my friend, or games like Gran Turismo on PS1. Mid 90s up too early 00 was the top for split screen popularity, that is why there are almost no racing games today with that feature.

There are still a few splitscreen games, mostly indie co-op games.
Remoteplay has basically taken over from splitscreen.
1 copy of the game, but you'll need 2 pc's.
That said Forza doesn't support remoteplay either.
