How do I know this? I'm a software developer and I do some reverse engineering in my spare time and when I have IDA or Process Hacker running in the background after working on some project, the game will ALWAYS crash until I have these programs closed because though they are not cheating programs, they can be used to make cheats or bypass certain aspects of the game.
So somewhere within the game's anti cheat code, it has detected something in your PC that thinks can be used for cheats and rather than tell the user which programs they should close like other anti cheats like battleye, it just crashes the game leaving the user to figure out themselves what caused the game to crash.
Edit: The same thing would happen if you use programs like Cheat Engine but I think with this one it's even worse because I've seen a discussion here a few days ago where a steam user said they had it open after using it on another game but they didn't close it and they received notification of cheating program when they tried to play FH5 so go figure...
Sadly i dont thnk so either. The game has been out for just over 2 years now and a possibility for FH6 to be released in the near future (nothing is announced but considering the time) is a possible factor for nothing to be done regarding this.
But it is also so extremly ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up that not a single type of developer is willing to trubleshoot.
- Steam says that since the game is not associated with them, they refer to the game developer which is playground games.
- Playground games say, because an excemption code is thrown in eventlogger they refer to microsoft windows support.
- Windows support say since the game is launched on steam they refer to steam or either the game developer since the game is not launched on Microsoft Store or Xbox Game Bar....
This is the most insane ♥♥♥♥ ive encountered
To me it dosnt really sound like a possibility to be anti-cheat related. Though ive seen some threads regarding "wemod" (pronunciation?). Though it still wouldnt make sense in the case as i described where all the tries has been with completly clean windows installations. And the fact that as described if i sign in with a different microsoft account it boots up like there were never any form of issue.
In that case it would be like they cheat checked my main account and prevented it from connecting in a theoretical way. Which dosnt make sense either really.
It dosnt make sense for a microsoft account to be the deciding factor to load in or not. Why should the main throw an excemption code in eventlogger while another account dosnt?
I understand the point your making since ive seen some threads about it. But in this type of case ive seen many more have it dosnt seem to apply in the same way
Already done, wrote it in the description of the thread
