So why is there a limit on the number of cars you can put on the auction house in a specific time range? and how is the time range determined???

I think the limit is there to prevent the auction house from being overrun by cars. The time is determined by the number of cars you've put up for auction I think 20, whether they sell or not and it's a 24 hour limit.
