If that doesn't interest you and you just want to race and drive +/- 700 of the 800 cars available in the game, standard is all you would need. There's plenty to keep you busy for 100's of hours in the base game alone.
If you're wanting all the games content and you buy 'Premium', you would still be short the following Car dlc Packs which you would need to purchase separately. Besides the Treasure Map, but that a stupid dlc very few if anyone buys.

Good luck with your decision!
And I saved the best for last, the ibright minds at Pgg decided that making you pay 100$ wasn't enough, so now they are gonna add half assed dlcs with filler cars every month that are NOT included in the premium edition of the game.
I'd recommend you buy this game only if you enjoy the process of entering your credit card info and the process of doing the same grindy ass tasks to afford a three wheeled tic tac that is completely useless yet costs 20 mil for some reason.
In general, I'd say get the premium edition if you can see yourself playing it a lot. If your interest is rather casual or one (or both) of the expansions do not strike your interest, settle for less.
Me too, only about 6 months apart. I just got FH4 through the 'complete your bundle' option.
As to OP's question, Get Ultimate. At the current discount with the premium upgrade, the DLC expansions and a ton of good cars to start you off, it's the best way to jump in.
Yeah this is the part that is of interest to me, does the premium edition come with all the expansions till date? Do I get any extra perk for buying premium, and what is that is I guess. When the game was initially released I understand the value it had over vanilla pack, but after 2 years or so, does the same value still apply?
