Playing the original horizon in colerado

For a start I have a whole collection of xbox 360 games that were handed to me. 87 of them in total. In amongst them is the original horizons 1 and 2.

Yesterday was at a local market and picked up an untested xbox 360 for £20. I tested it. It needed a hdmi cable but it works.

The horizon 2 disk has a nasty scratch. It boots but I doubt it's playable the whole way through.

The original horizon is in pristine condition. It plays flawlessly. That's the one I'm playing atm. It might have low res graphics and a low framerate but my little 1080 tv is handling it nice. Its still forza horizon. Its still the same game. This one's based in colerado.

Atm I've done the intro. I've done the first main race and the first showcase against the planes. That's the map starting to open up. I'm enjoying this lol

if you have XBOX One X (not XBOX one) or XBOX One Series X*, you can play Forza Horizon 1 on it too. Put disc in, choose install and console will download (slightly enhanced) XB1 port on your hard drive. Unfortunately, it doesn't work for cursed X360 port of FH2, you'll need XBOX One version.

Same, FH4 was my first to play in the series. I really want to play the first three.

I don't understand why they haven't remastered the original. If any game deserves to be remastered its this one. I can't speak for the second one yet as I've not played it yet but the original one is stand alone. It doesn't rely on online servers. Just add an option to up the render resolution, a 60+ frame rate and maybe a high resolution texture pack and maybe some better shading.

I would def buy that if they did that. I would love to see that on steam.

I played Horizon 1 on the PC through the Xenia emulator last year. Really enjoyed the game. Nice story progression, great soundtrack. It lacks many features from the newer Horizons but nonetheless it's a very solid game.

IIRC it's because the licenses to use the cars in that game have expired. DRM for cars...
