I can recommend you this so we can get more people in the same boat.
If the game crashes on startup when pressing continue in loadscreen.
Uninstall the game on steam -> go to Xbox PC Game store (if you run windows 11, otherwise microsoft game store) -> buy the Xbox Game Pass (costs like 1 dollar) -> install the basic version of FH5 (included in game pass) -> and then try run the game via Xbox PC Game store.
If that works for you and the game boots just fine your in the same boat as me.
Note that ive done all kinds of troubleshooting that can be imagined.
Reinstalled windows 11 (3 times), tried windows 10 (3 times), new RAM sticks, new SSDs, updated BIOS, rollbacked drivers and so on... Running the game with no 3rd party program installed and so on.
Nothing helped at all...
Once youve found for Forza, check the excemption code it throws, if it is 0xc0000005, then your in the same boat as me
this Sucker Knows better!
Verifying game files dosnt do ♥♥♥♥ sadly.
Forza support refuses to do anything (been in contact with them), steam support wont do antyhing either since the game comes from a developer not associated with steam.
What does eventlogger say when it crashes? Do you get the excemption code 0xc0000005?
already did

do that and give feedback pls dont just play the game and forget this here. tyvm gl
i hope its usefull...
CMD never solved a thing!!! i never see that solving or using myself...
thank you for the info . i think my bios is up to date. forza motorsport and horizon 4 work fine, just horizon 5 wont play after its last update.
Maybe he got upset and went offline or hes Doing BoiS it goes also loooong..cuz--->
''i think my bios is up to date''
there are YT videos how to do it! DONT MESS IT UP! AND WAIT TILL IT FINISHES AND Y GET TILL LOGIN SCREEN OR IN WIN! THEN PULL THE STICK OUT!
What does eventlogger say? Does the game crash after you press continue?
Try this then. Logout from Microsoft store and Xbox Game Store and sign in with a brand new account for both of the applications. Then go to credential manager, and then to windows credentials, remove all instances that begins with "Xbl".
After deletion, try boot the game on steam again. It will tell you to log in to a xbox account when trying to continue, log in with the new account. If that works and the game boots you need to create a "lost save" ticket to Forza support.
I just tried this scenario and it worked for me. Currently awaiting an answer from the support about a save transfer to the new account.
Seems to be a linking issue in general.
1) Go to game folder
2) remove TargetHardwareProfiler.dll
3) Play game! :))
At least it's worth a try.
