I get where you are coming from ph!l and so do others so no need trying to explain it to a person of this nature.
Here lies the true problem with most of what I would call the "modern consumer". Not necessarily just being a hypocrite, but not having conviction to your own moral standards. You see it all the time across multiple genre's and somebody may disapprove of it in one game for some reason, but be OK with it in another (even talking about purchasing skins in some other game). However, there is also a line between "wanting to support a developer" and "paying for shortcuts/skips/power".
Edit: As I was typing this up I see Annihilator responded with the exact thing I just mentioned above. You already bought the game and potentially paid for DLC, you supported the developer through that. Any additional support would come in the affect of additional content (the car packs count), and anything that actually helps enhance the gaming experience. Paying to skip having to earn money is indeed a power up.
(we could get into why this is needed in the first place, but check my previous post if one cares).
This is why companies continue to do it and will continue to do so. The video of the ex-SC2 dev has been circling around a lot and is a short clip that gives a lot of insight into why gaming is the way it is now.
For those purchasing the tickets; you will continue to decrease the quality of future titles as a company will not turn down quicker money for less time/effort put into the product. (Look at all of the sports titles re-hashed every year. I buy one of those from a different sport in kind of a rotation once every 5 years or so, but even still, the next version I buy is almost exactly the same game as the one 5 years prior. These have other issues too such as monopolization of rights etc.) but i digress as there are plenty of examples that you could go on about.
And for the one fellow who replied talking about "the shareholders". Please stop regurgitating that statement you see online. This argument assumes you understand how shareholder meetings go and what even goes on. I can solve this attitude by asking you one question, "Is a company in control of a game(s) you enjoy: Are they making better games now or worse games?". If a game you chose belongs to one of the many AAA companies then I think there could be a fair argument that they are making worse quality games.
Anywho, I am not here to disapprove of anybody spending their money the way they want. Nobody is wrong for wanting to buy things in a game with your own money, but if so, you are objectively making it easier for developers/companies to spend less time on gameplay & design and more time on how to make paywalls an inherit part of the game.
Edit: Also the haters never admit is a hater ;) i talk in general :) specially because one guy remember it from long time one thread and i not talking with that but i talking with developer and other who got the issue and get this way.
All games in steam work in this mode. First need a wallet on steam and late spent. If you not want it need buyng the game outside of steam.
Yes i mean in game bought on steam redirect you on steam wallet. Is normal. Work in ten years in this mode.
