The technique that the previous poster referred to, is probably this one: Buy a car that has another car in its perk tree (like the 1997 Lamborghini Diablo SV) from the autoshow. Then farm some 64 skill points, which can be done within 3 minutes if you really want or need to. Then unlock the bonus car (in this case, the 1999 Diablo GTR). Then sell both cars in the auction house. Rinse and repeat.
This was a very popular technique a few months ago. I can't tell how well it works now as I'm not using it myself. I play this game because I enjoy it, I see no point in trying to avoid playing the game in order to get rewards quicker. But if you really want to collect cars without actually playing the game, there's the information you're looking for.
