''Sign-in needed''??? Please help! *FIXED*

I've been playing this game nonstop since its release and I've never experienced anything like this. Today the starting screen after ''press any button'' greeted me with ''You may not proceed without being signed in to a profile''. There is no option given! All you're left with is Alt-F4 yourself back to the desktop. Is this a bug of some sort??

The best way to fix this is to click Start > Credential Manager > Windows Credentials. In there you need to scroll to the bottom and delete ''Xbl DeviceKey'' and then REBOOT your PC. Basically this will force the pop-up sign in window the next time you run the game and you'll just need to sign into your profile again.

Update:

This problem kept recurring periodically. It finally went away for me after I re-installed the game on another hard drive. I don't know if a simple re-installing also works. Could be worth a try.

Yes I've already tried that. Didn't work. I guess I'll have to wait for the next damn update and hope the devs are going to do something about it!

I fixed the issue. Just want to make an update here in case you run into this or someone will be looking for this in the discussions. When I load up the game and hit continue it brings up the xbox sign in screen and when I hit sign in it just says "you may not proceed without being signed in to a profile" dosent even let me try and sign in, Any help would be appreciated

Go to the game folder and launch the exe as admin. It will let you sign in normally and that's it. You can launch the game normally from then on.

Just got around to trying this and it does the same thing, Asks me to sign in and when I get hit the button it says I may not proceed without being signed into a profile

Ok, quite sorry to hear that.

This happened to me not long ago and none of that "delete credentials etc." advice helped me. This was the only thing that worked.

Well, please keep this thread posted if you solve it. My problem is long gone now, but I would love to know what works for you in the end, if any.

The problem is that the sign up menu already shows up but when I click sign in it just says you may not proceed without being signed into a profile, I did try the credential thing and sadly did not work, Still looking for a fix

Follow these steps:

1 Turn off ur internet connection.
2 Start the game.
3 Click "Continue".
4 Click "Change profile".
5 Click "Yes".
6 Click "Continue".
7 Wait for the loading screen message "Profile has been changed u need to restart the game".
8 Click "Restart".
9 Wait for the game to restart.
10 Quit the game.
11 Turn on ur internet connection.
12 Start the game once again.
13 Log in to your profile in pop up menu.
14 Enjoy ur game.

This crap drives me crazy! What is this even good for? What profile do they mean? I play on PC with the PS4 controller and I start the game via Steam and there I have a profile and I'm logged in. And it's not the X-Box sign that pops up for me but just a simple message without a hint which profile they mean. Never before I needed to log in somewhere else just to start the game. I tried all kinds of things but nothing works. Anyone a solution in the meantime?

Update: After playing FH 4 for a while I tried it again and suddenly it worked. Hell knows what's going on there.

They mean xbox profile. Check my message above and try to follow the steps.
Upgrade ur xbox game bar before doing this.
