There is no progression, the game is a sandbox
No
Forza Horizon is clearly not for you
My second issue with the game is that I find the game so unmasculine, I find the characters in Forza Horizon 5 to be WAY too cheesy / punchable, they are all so damned happy/cheery/back slappy - SMUG i'd rather drive all the characters off a cliff at 200 that would be fun.
Even the radio stations are similar. I think it bothers me way too much but still, they are annoying.
If can I disable this corny/cringe stuff from ingame or mod would help me a lot, please let me know how I would be so happy.
Oh yea and almost forgot anything to simplify the game menu, a mod that makes the game menu an actual game menu?
This aspect it bothers me a lot of the game maybe its my first game thats so cheesy until I get used but I always will have to thought to drive them off a cliff
I was looking for mods but there isnt anything for this game
here's how you progress in horizon 5 if you actually want to know
1. race on the various tracks
2. get better at them
the game gives you all sorts of telemetry to improve your lap times. buy a car you like, tune it, practice with it, tune it, practice some more, go play some online races check out your telemetry data to tweak your car to perfection, improve your lap times. get an idea for another car you want to try, do the same thing over again. it's fun , and in the process you get better and better at tuning and mastering tracks. another thing; try your hand at painting them. it's really quite something when you design a livery yourself and tune the car till the throttle and suspension respond exactly how you want. each one feels like a little work of art.
that's your progression.. but if you couldn't figure that out on your own, chances are horizon just isn't for you as others have said
Sorry Dr Pepper! It wasn't intended for you!
1. Complete all story modes get 3 stars if your an achievement type of gamer its the only place i think you hear narration of the in game characters
I believe if you have raced the Goliath which is a 20 minute race thats the ending and all things will be unlocked for you to play with
2. MY advice is to save your moneys and buy the house with the fast travel unlock and then go around smashing those boards to make fast travel free)
3. I believe The Festival Playlist is your weekly tasks usually completed in 3 hours a week, this if you are a car collector (unlocking cars which have been time gated over the life of expansion) or you can buy ones you miss off auction house
The playlist is a bit funky and doesnt really explain it for new players as it does not show Car restrictions for you to enter the event. if you have an xbox controller and push right thumbstick you will see what specifications you need to enter the event
The rest of the game is solely on your driving discipline and how you want to play or enjoy playing
you can lobby up with friends and play how you like eg cops and robbers etc etc
there are also creative players who design maps and skins for cars and car tunes
Also feel free to jump into horizon open or tour or rivals if you want to meet the Online ramming community lol ( If i ever rammed you im sorry it was an accident)
Also Check out Accolades (Progression system) for things to do in free time
If there was ever an in game chat it would be very cool to do car meets and cruises
but sometimes you ll find group sessions in windows xbox game bar looking for peeps to play with
Yellow Big icons ( Story mode)
Red Icons (weekly Tasks) but if its a triple race, make sure you complete the 3 white icons that pop up when you start it cause you cant go do something else and come back to it or you have to start triple races again
Blue icons (Racing cars)
Orange icons (Dirt rally)
Purple icons ( Racing cars with traffic)
Green Icons ( Off roading)
the weird street sign icons ( drift, speed trap , speed zone , Danger signs)
PR STUNTS ( one off cinematic story adventure)
Horizon Open (online racing)
Horizon Tour ( online players vs AI)
Rivals - Leaderboard hotlaps
Event Labs - Creators Hub
Eliminator - Battle Royale with cars
Mini Arcade games - infected, king of the hill arcadey games with online players
Horizon Arcade - 3 rounds of the genre it randomly pops up as eg Drift
( this gives fp points for you to spend in the shop that refreshes every week from cosmetic to cars)
If you visit your home or festival you have more options like painting a car and upgrading and tuning it or you can download somebodys tune to help you through the playlist
and you can always pause the game and switch cars if need be on the fly
Focus on story completiion {Big Yellow Icons} for your tutorial to playing the game
then festival playlist ( Red Icons) , you should be able to complete that today its that short
all you need is a Jesko & a ford puma fe edition to destroy this games single player
Hot Tip :
1. buy house with fast travel
2. buy all cosmetics as fast as you can to change your loot pool to cars and cash
3. Accept Gift drops for free cars that the community has donated to other players
4. Story & PR Stunts are one offs you only need to do once for the experience so the narrative ingame characters you dislike arent really a big thing and is like 1% of the games content
or
"Slow in Fast out"
Left thumbstick to steer left or right
left trigger to brake
right trigger to accelerate
and e brake for style :P
Horizon is an arcadey game motorsports is semi arcadey sim
Try iRacing if you want competition level sim racing
