By the time your SSD wears out and is no longer usable you will want a bigger drive with possibly new connection tech anyway.

Yeah, but you would think Microsoft would use the tech in their games that they have released over the years. The only game that uses it is Forspoken.

In normal usage your more likely to die of very old age before your SSD dies from data written, a good modern drive is capable of writing at least a petabyte or more before it gives up, good luck using all that with direct storage before the drive is far to old or to small anyway. Even in 2014 the Samsung 840 Pro had 2PB written before it finally gave up, the worst drive benched at 1.2PB and storage tech has come a long way since then.
