How does seasonal championship work

I can seem to be doing different kinds of championship, each time i go for different one it cancels the previous one. Am i doing something wrong. I cant get my points up :(

You have to complete all races in champoinship before starting new one. Ones in active championship will have different color scheme. If you can't find it, you can de-clutter map using filters.
Also, this week there are 2 events overlapping on one track, so if you can't find 3rd race go to event on desert, and "continue championship" pick should be there.

If you do the championship in co-op mode instead of solo (from the initial popup screen), the game automatically moves to the next race each time - if you dont mind racing with other real players.

All the seasonal race icons start as orange, once you enter an event you will have 3 white icons on your map which are all part of that event. Those you haven't done will have a 'new' label on the icon. If you enter another orange event before finishing all 3 white events it will cancel the event you were busy on.

As kireta mentioned, there is 1 race in the current playlist that doesn't follow this logic as it was also an event lab event. The icon is still white just has the event lab label making it harder to spot.
