I'm not sure, I think it varies, you get more playing at higher difficulty, and you get clean racing bonus on top etc...

...and distance covered but frankly, why does it matter to you? What does it change being or not being able to check how close/far to leveling up a player is? It's not like you have any control over it anyway.

Tracking XP doesn't matter really, because you level up every 2 to 3 races anyway

Just two or three? It's more.

2 or 3 would be great because leveling up yields one wheelspin.

Might put it to test, but that's the impression I got.
Exact XP gain depends on place in race and accumulated skills XP, so it may differ quite a lot from player to player.

took me 5 9km races, 45km total, to accumulate 30k XP needed to level up. Prestige players need 2x normal XP to level up, so if OP is not, he will need half of that, 15k XP
