Forza Horizon 5 wount launch

Hello, i just bought FH5 and it wount launch on steam. I press play and it says launched but nothing pops up and after 2-3 min the launched green icon disapears.
I have tried:
Verify files
Reinstall
Updating pc and Nvidia drivers
Runing as admin.

My pc is capable of running the game.
Any ideas ?

Update: So I just installed WeMod, and tried the game.

With WeMod just installed, but not open, game launched fine.

With WeMod open, launched the game, and after the small splash screen, game closed.

This is a normal function, not a crash or error in the game. The game does have an anti-cheat in it that checks before the game loads and kills it if it finds any kind of cheat software running. A lot if not most online competitive games have this.

If you don't have anything like this installed, that's a different story, and I'm happy to keep testing or looking into with ya. :)

That was not my problem, but I got a refund so not bothered now :p
I'll unsubscribe now and wish you all the best of luck with this broken game ;)

what im saying is i had WeMod installed and it had the overlay running in the background and the anti cheat was picking it up and crashing my game with out a reason or crash report, then i uninstalled WeMod and my game launched fine

This anti-cheat pos was triggered on Sysinternals (which is a Microsoft company ffs) process explorer on my PC lol, hence technically MS is blocking it's own software.
And where i had issues with Riva tuner that was not playing nicely with FH4 in the past, I have no problems with FH5 and Riva tuner running in the background.

I bought this game for my son as a gift. He liked it so much. I've managed to open it now like 2-3 times and other times it crashes right at the downloading screen. I've tried same tricks as you guys without any solution. Has anyone find any solution yet? It's really disappointing. You might found a new fan of Forza Series but if this is how it works, no way.

WeMod overlay was also the culprit in my case. Even after uninstalling wemod itself, the overlay was still active in the background. Runs perfectly fine after getting rid of that

Not to highjack this thread, but I am having the same issues as OP. Turned off all anticheat applications and monitoring apps on my desktop. Could not launch. I also then reassured myself I am running stock clock for my GPU and CPU. Still crashes. Checked the integrity of the game, still crash after 99% loading screen. Never seen the game in action yet, just the main menu and loading screen.

99% loading screen? Do you mean the Optimization screen?

And if you've turned of everything else, try checking and turning off any other overlays, like the steam overlay, nvidia or AMD overlays, etc.

Last time I was able to play this game was Oct 26, 2022, I gave up. It played flawlessly for 11 months, then on that date, it wouldn't launch. I did a ticket on it, but they either won't repair it, or they don't know how. Too many had the exact same issue for them not to focus on a solution.

I was found a solution here, the reason is not about the game.
It is because you have installed some trainer especially is WeMod and leave this trainer open in the background.
First, you need to remove WeMod overlay from XBox Game Bar by pressing WIN+G shortcut key.
Go to the widget menu above then click on the WeMod to unfavorite it.
Restart Windows and try to start Forza Horizon 5 again, make sure don't left WeMod open in the background.

If this solution above is not working. My next solution may help.
What you need to do is install some kind of registry remover software. I am using Reg Organizer here.
First, you need to uninstall WeMod. After done uninstalled, then open Reg Organizer, get into Registry Editor.
Search "wemod" then wait for it done searching.
Click on "Check All" then click "Remove from the Registry"
OK, now your Forza Horizon 5 suppose to be able to start.
However, you may need to reinstall back your WeMod again due to a WeMod subscriber.
After done installed WeMod then login back your account.
So you can use the trainer again on other offline games but make sure don't add WeMod into the Xbox Game Bar again.
Also make sure you need to close WeMod when you start this game.
