The Crew Motorfest vs Forza Horizon 5

whats your opinion after crew open beta? I think that Forza Horizon 5 which is 2 years old is miles ahead of The Crew. Graphics and physics of Motorfest is from 2013.

Motorfest is looking far worse than Forza, but car sounds are pretty good. Handling is a bit better than in previous Crew titles. It not really competitor to Horizon, but I think I'll give it a try when the game releases.

Stupid answer you don't even try closed beta. I already try 3 day closed beta and I say Motorfest is awesome games.

Side by side compare
1. Map = Motorfest
The map bigger then FH5 but smaller then Crew 2, but... the detail in Motorfest map really awesome this make me pre ordered in Epic store, Have modern city, resort, small town, village, mountain, beach, airport and more.
FH5 map all like sllum or poor region, no modern building I hate this. But in Motorfest give what I want. And Motorfest have Japanese building look like real in Hawaii map.
For now I saw 2 map locked on left or right side Hawaii this will be DLC map in the future, awesome.
In Motorfest I spend 2 hours to driving side by side the map, yeah much smaller then Crew 2.

2. Graphics = Motorfest
Motorfest graphics the new era racing games, the environments detail are beautiful first in jungle you can see the nature detail, and in night day reflection lightning from building really awesome make the city live.

3. Car Detail = FH5
FH5 have realistic detail near real car and I like FH5 detail from front or rear lamp reflection. In Motorfest car detail not bad but... only few car have ultra detail, but some car have bad detail. Example Ford F150 2010 really bad in Motorfest, look like Crew 2 car model.

4. Wheel or Tire detail = Motorfest
In Motorfest the detail and reflection look like Unreal Engine 5 demo, this really good job. Not like in FH5 the wheel reflection are bad, and Motorfest.

5. Weather = FH5
In FH5 ride in raining day or not is different, but not for Motorfest I feel not far with raining or not. In FH5 in morning have fog or storm day, but in Motorfest is gone, no storm rain all same light rain and snow removed from Crew 2.

6. Vehicles = Motorfest
Motorfest really awesome, they're added high end bike brand, classic and new car, and I like plane for fun the ride.

7 Driving Handling = FH5
No one can beat FH series in driving handling, from the custom setting car handling I prefer FH5. If you use wheel steering sim, FH5 the best racing open world but Motorfest are good to but not superior like FH5. But Motorfest handling much better then Crew 2 or NFS Unbound.
In FH5 manual with clutch this really awesome with wheel steering, near realistic but not superior then Gran Turismo 7, but much better then Motorfest. You will disappointed when hope manual with clutch in Motorfest
In FH5 different car different handling, but in Motorfest I fell same, exmaple tested with SUV different brand.

8. Music Radio = Motorfest
Seriously I hate FH5 with Mexico theme music, not like in FH4 or FH3 are awesome Pulse radio. Motorfest much better then FH5 radio.

9. Game performance = Motorfest
In beta testing I didn't see bug or stutter screen, this game running smoothly with ultra setting on 1440p with RTX 4070 Ti, i9 9900K.

10. Car Customization = Motorfest
You can customization like NFS series, this awesome

11. Livery Editor = FH5
in FH5 you can use the setting with keyboard (Movement, rotate) and editing with less HUD. But in Motorfest is not available this make hard to make custom livery in Motorfest

12. Engine or Exhaust Sound = FH5
No more, FH5 the best

13. Traffic = FH5
In Motorfest the traffic look less or like dead city same like Crew 2, FH5 traffic make the world live. I like FH5

14. Photo Mode = FH5
FH5 the best photo mode, because this same like use mirrorless camera, you can setting stutter speed, aperture, bokeh type and now FH5 can setting day/time, weather, tire setting, the driver and more.
But in Motorfest photo mode same like Crew 2 are old, no feature to change weather to foggy, storm rain, and more. Only can use light rain.

15. 3D modelling balance = FH5
In FH5 car, road size and building look realistic but in Motorfest still same like Crew 2. I feel the road look bigger then car in Motorfest and the building look like 2nd floor on 1st floor.

16. Physic = FH5
FH5 best physic open world racing game all time. You will disappointed if want physic like FH5 in Motorfest


My opinion:
I love FH5 driving with wheel simulator, and I use FH5 for photography editing because FH5 photo editing same like Gran Turismo 7 and FH5 are open world racing games.
For fun and relaxing driving I like in Motorfest.
FH5 is realistic open world racing games, I hope FH6 in Japan.

Forza Horizon 5 all the way.
700 hours in and still grinding.
The Crew was always kind of meh.

I tried TC2 when it was free. Although I found it to be better than I expected, it's really just a poor man's Forza Horizon.

They put some effort in some aspects, but it still doesn't come close. It is what it is: just another lesser Forza/Gran Turismo wannabe.

Positive things about it: It's better than what NFS has become, it has pretty neat customization options like OEM body kits, trims and wheels.

Things where it fails: physics, sounds, car list, wheel support, gameplay.

Haven't checked the new one. I usually never bother with anything that's not GT or Forza. Out of 20+ years of car game experience, nothing ever comes close to what I personally look for.

I downloaded crew2 out of curiosity, the graphics are crap compared to FH5 and the car handling model is more like need for speed, i.e. rubbish.

I uninstalled it after 10 mins.

And before anyone asks, it was a legit version through Ubisoft connect.

I tried out the closed beta of TCM. Everything that was wrong with TC2 is still wrong in TCM. Just the map is smaller and everything looks much to "funky". Cars still dont have any actual "driving" feel on a FFB wheel and the tyre grip is basically unbreakable. Yes you can zoom around corners at lightspeed but thats feels plain fake and synthetic.

Not true, you can compare the car detail and environments is much better in Motorfest. Note you must play on ultra setting.

FH5 is the best balanced car driving game unless you want pure sim, like F! sim
