Aside from the faff of technical implementation, the licencing/verification issues would be a big problem.
I've never used it and don't endorse it in any way but might be something to look into.

It's just not worth the potential ban that could happen imo. Personally I'd just run spotify in another window and adjust the game volume.
That's not an issue because if you mute your game's music and just play youtube/spotify/mp3s, at one point the game will "pick" a song that's playing and give you extra score, except you hear your own tune so you can still use that since it won't disable that feature by lowering music's volume ig. It's just that it probably won't sync with your song from the start. But at least you get a timer.
