One does not simply play on ultra.
Hello gentlemen. The game keeps reminding me that I have not enough graphics memory on ultra settings and after few minutes it crushes to desktop. It startet about three updates ago.

My question to you is, what should I turn off, which of the options takes a lot of the memory. I would like to still play on ultra, but I believe lowering one of the features or turning it off mamy still let me achieve that withour visible repercusions. This is my setup so I believe there are tendences to such possibility.

Graphics Card - GeForce RTX3070 Palit Gaming Pro 8GB 256bit.

CPU - Intel Core i9 10900KF LGA1200

Memory - DDRAM IV 32GB 2666 Patriot Signature Platinum DUAL

Motherboard - 1200 MSI B460 MAG Torpedo.

Hard drive - SSD 4TB P3 Crucial M.2 NVMe 2280 PCIE 3.0

Hard drive 2 - SSD 2TB NVMe Kingston NV1 - 2100/1700

Hard drive 3 - HDD 4TB Toshiba P300.

Hard drive 4 - HDD 4TB Toshiba P300.

Hard drive 5 - HDD 4TB Toshiba P300.

Hard drive 6 - HDD 4TB WD Red

Power Supply - 700W Silentium PC Vero L3 80+ Bronze.

Fan - Endorfy Fera 5 Dual Fan - 2 x 12 cm.

Case - Silentium PC Astrum AT6V EVO TG ARGB.

Monitor - LED MSI Optix MAG271R FULLHD 1ms 165Hz.

Please help.

Regards.

The most demanding graphic option for VRAM is "Environment Texture Quality". Also take a look at the Shadow Quality and Ray Tracing.
I started to get the same notification about having not enough VRAM a few updated back too. But in my case game just working fine even after that. I have an RTX 3070 too.

Turn off Ray Tracing and put shadow quality on high, heck, even medium will be good and you'll not notice the difference, esp. cause u're driving 90% of the time

Ok, I will try those suggestions.

Thank you gentlemen.

There are quite a lot of options you can turn down from ultra without really seeing any difference, it's worth experimenting,

Some ideas here^

Thank you. I experimented today a little and I still crushed three times. Those map elements on slightly lower level look strange for me especially for example the flowers. I know unnecessary detail but still I see the difference.

Your GPU only has 8gb on board ram, so you have to be realistic and work around that.

My old build is still strong i5600k and and AMD rx480 8gb...

Don't get too carried away with running things at ultra, it's kinda daft as ultra settings don't often look much better than a blend of high/med settings, but they will make your cpu & gpu cook, for hardly any benefit.

Yes indeed that is my Ahilles heel. However numerous other titles have flown around that without any problems.

First off I just have to say that is a LOT of HDD's/SSD's on a 700 watt PSU...

I have a Ryzen 5950x, a 2080 Ti, and I run 1 NVME drive with a Corsair i150 cooler and I use a minumum of 500 watts (and my PSU is a Seasonic Prime 850w Titanium cert)...

Yep... and Bronze PSU also... I would be afraid to click the power button on that tbh
