So let me tell you my personal situation.
I am faster and at least as fast as Unbeatable Drivetars. The problem here is that when I am racing against them. The problem is that they weigh a ton. When I try to overtake them, they cut me off often which makes me bump behind them and drive into them, killing my speed and momentum. They do not do this to each-other, where when you look how they drive they are giving each-other space and are driving correctly and fairly amongst one another but when it comes to me, the player they are applying dirty tactcis and again they are very heavy so when I bump into them I do not move them aside but slow down and have from there to try to work again to catch up with them, to overtake them, where when I am overtaking them they sometimes show some mercy but then other drivetars are still hindering me until this repeats, me bumping into them so that they then become more aware of me and then they might move aside but.
While this is happening the leader in a race, which usually does not last long in road racing, dirt racing cross country or street racing, begets a huge advantage which becomes really hard to catch up with before the race ends. So, I have to work hard on higher difficulties and sometimes it is just frustrating seeing them slipping away and not being able to catch up with them.
The time that I am driving on these different types of racing that I just mentioned above last for, for instance: 3 laps, a few minutes and in other instances like street racing there are other non-drivetar cars that can get in the way so the race gets hectic. For instance road racing has either laps, usually just 3 of them and point to point and this also takes usually a few minutes so when I start behind and am driving against Unbeatable or even Pro Drivetars I have to make a sprint from start of the race to get into the lead and usually due to how they Drivetars behave towards me this is either very hard or impossible so when I am having problems overtaking them and I don't make it in the top 3 at the end of the race I have to restart and waste time with no gain, no money and even using rewind function takes time away from me while I could instead of rewinding and restaring races do other races.
This problem isn't so evident when I drive more than 5 laps on a custom blueprint or when a point to point race lasts for more than 7-8 minutes but generally on the smaller tracks, lapping and point to point the drivetars are just not behaving fairly. They again do play fair with one another, you can notice this by observing how they drive but when I start doing what they are doing, when I start driving competitively they just start behaving differently and more aggressive towards me as a player.
That would be acceptable and is somewhat normal, for opponents to defend their line once or twice but again they are so heavy that I can't even like slide or bump them aside because me bumping in their back bumper has no effect on them, only for instance when they are turning into a turn then I can a little bit manipulate them aside but again due to their weight this has almost no effect in terms of me being able to overtake them.
This is frustrating, there are ways to circumvent this by for instance driving and overtaking them from the side of the track but this isn't always possible because of the width of the track and so just the experience driving against Drivetars could be better, if they for instance had more regard with the player and if their cars were lighter so that you can bump them aside and make way.
There are instances that starting a race from behind every drivetar will just cut in front and that is sort of inconvenient and can even get unsettling like disturbing when you realize you are driving against a machine who has no consciousness, shows no consideration nor empathy.
There are probably also other valid points that i have forgot to mention but what I've said is in essence the heart of the experience with Drivetars.
Drivetars are a cool concept, it is fun to drive against them in say longer tracks that last longer but they fluctuate in behavior and that behavior is sometimes just hindersome and not really exactly fun, while it can and could be better, I think. There also could be more difficult Drivetars above Unbeatable to show more of a challenge to fast human drivers but the way AI and the physics are in the game now I doubt if that would work. Having more Drivetars than only 11 or 12 of them max would also be cool.
Practice more.
It also depends on the car Power level you enter the race with,
:D
you're clearly the one needing help here and refusing to accept you're wrong,
Just using the right wheels can also get you very far,
Traction control is also beneficial.
AI in Forza Horizon was simplistic in FH1, and the only improvement added since is better collision prediction. FH5 actually made AI worse with absurd amount of rubber banding, that is now a bigger factor than actual performance of a car they're using.
I need a teacher :) joking. Is really funny this thing :)
