Troubleshooting Crash On Startup

So since the Nov 8th update, I've been unable to launch the game from Steam because it crashes. I've gone through the whole support topics on the main website on things to try, along with several other items (driver updates, rollbacks, reinstallations, etc) mentioned in this forum and on the subreddit.

That being said, there's one other thing I'd like to try but since I can't launch the game, I can't confirm the settings.

Would someone be able to set their graphics settings in game to the lowest possible settings, save, and then post what the values in the following file are:

C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\ForzaHorizon5\User_SteamLocalStorageDirectory\ConnectedStorage\ForzaUserConfigSelections

I can see most of the settings here, so if my game is crashing because it just can't handle the graphics updates, I'd like to at least try to start my game with the lowest possible graphics settings.

EDIT: removed my misspoken "on startup" as that was misleading and didn't really get me any help.

don't launch the game on startup, launch windows, then steam, allow it to check for updates, then launch the game.

Try cleaning Ram and Cache and check Windows for corrupted files. And defo never ever launch a game during PC startup

That's my mistake, I misspoke. When I said startup I didn't mean immediately as Windows was booting up. It is as you stated in the latter, where I launch Windows, then Steam, then Forza.

I have the same problem in both versions, in the steam version and the xbox game pass PC version and I don't think it's the fault of poor performance since I have a 3080 and a ryzen 7 5800x

I haven't found a solution yet. Main reason I think it could be performance related (heavy load on GPU or something) is my laptop only sports a 1650 TI.

In Windows Event Viewer, in windows application logs, I see a BEX64 when Forza 5 tries to start. This error usually occurs (although randomly) when demanding activity occurs. (Crazy thing is that I have 32GB of RAM, too).

I have yet to get someone to send me that file though. Literally the only thing I have left to try (outside of reinstalling Windows, which I won't do).

I have found a silly fix. First i have to launch Warzone stay in menu, minimazce Warzone, then launch Forza. :D And it works..
