TAA VS MSAA
Do you prefer TAA or MSAA? I'm not sure which one I should use because the foliage looks bad with MSAA and TAA looks kinda blurry overall.

Can't win really
You can do a combo of msaa + fxaa, but fxaa makes image overall blurier with additional glow added.

TAA adds ghosting (gives me motion sickness), and its a bit buggy with the wheels if you have motion blur enabled... But it works best against aliasing.

If you have an RTX card and have horsepower to spare, you can try running the game with DLDSR option enabled in the driver, with dsr smoothness set around 50-65%, apply the resolution in-game and enjoy a sharper image with less aliasing... Can combo msaa on top for further anti aliasing, but it will be demanding.

I personally play at 1440p with 4x msaa and no longer worry about the aliasing.
It's suppressed enough for me to "enjoy" the game, and msaa gives best visual clarity vs TAA or fxaa

I prefer TAA overall.

I installed Reshade and use SMAA. Still some aliasing but it's fast and sharp.

Taa with image sharpening at nvidia control panel

I prefer TAA. The foliage is much easier on the eyes with TAA. I don't think it looks that blurry with the sharpness at 50.
in taa when I am in 1st person in the car I see a black dot appear in the upper left corner. It's very irritating when I switch to msaa it doesn't appear all perfect.

Yeah I've noticed the black dot too. It only appears sometimes for me & it's near the centre of the screen. It doesn't bother me that much so I still use TAA.

MSAA X8 is the best if you are playing at 1080p or 1440p
TAA looks blurry
If you don't like shimmering go for TAA

Current taa implementation makes no sense
It works as it should, but it has same performance hit as 4x msaa... Which it shouldn't have.

There is no effects right now that can make the checkpoint flames look good. That seem to look pixelized no matter what you have. My PC is top of the line.

Yeh I have sharpening on in AMD Adrenalin, it pops up when the games loading. I prefer TAA but my PC is different, some people say msaa looks better, just pick what's best for you.

I guess you just have to experiment with your own config and choose what settings looks best for you, I don't think there's any 'one size fits all' guide that can do that.

Yes tyre smoke and checkpoint smoke I think is just a game thing, I don't think much can be done about that.

I compared it at 1080p btw 4x msaa and taa and looks way better (for me) taa with a correct sharpening

i use TAA (sharpness slider on 6) + DLDSR 1440p (30% smoothness) on my 1080p screen.

SMAA doesnt remove shimmering, very noticeable and annoying when driving.

I prefer TAA with the sharpness at 5. It does better job than MSAA, especially on the cars.
Only time as I see ghosting after Series 10 update is when camera is turned to the side of the moving car in third person. Initially TAA had more ghosting problems.
