Gift cars greyed out. Any advice?

So quick question if anyone can give any advice, it's actually my son who owns this game and he has received some "gifts" of cars in the message center, not sure if these are unlocks or something however the ability to redeem or download them or whatever seems to be greyed out or not functioning.

Is there a solution to resolve this that anyone knows?

Apologies if this topic has been answered before, my search on this steam app appears to be misbehaving.

Ye, is the game connected to the online services?
since it has to download the cars from the messages.... There is also a chance of some privacy settings in microsoft account that might block online interactions in the game.

Could be that those cars are DLC cars maybe? I'm not sure, but there's a slight chance that gifted DLC cars cause crashes. ..and you can't play them to my knowledge, so it might be best to pass the cursed cars onto someone else, if they really are DLC cars and you aren't interested in buying them.

This is exactly what it was. There was a setting in his Microsoft privacy settings that wasn't set properly so that's it working now. Thankyou.

Btw if one of the gift cars happens to be Pagani Cinque, i'd suggest to immediately delete the livery on it.
