FH5 eats VRAM, and setting the environmental texture quality to Extreme causes it to use a huge amount of VRAM, well over 10GB even at 1080p.
Very strange also the fact benchmark runs smoothly and only in-game there are those stutterings.
There's a setting to disable other players' visual customization if you want to see if that helps your situation
I wouldn't call a GPU with 8GB or less high end. If you run out of VRAM you are going to have a bad time.
I don't normally run textures at extreme so I had to test and at 5120x1440 I only just kissed 10GB VRAM usage a couple times. I normally run with ultra for the extra fps and sit just under 9GB. Im using a 6900 xt so I have the VRAM to spare.
I could see system RAM being more of an issue for people. I have clocked FH5 using over 8GB on its own and with people getting "gaming' PCs with 16GB or even 8GB of system RAM they are going to have a bad time.
Yea I had to search forever till I found a reddit post with the same exact issue I had. I lost 20fps average turning it off but I couldn't deal with the offroad races dropping my fps in half and stuttering.
As for the VRAM usage, on all extreme settings at 1080p in Guanajuato, I was seeing VRAM exceed 11GB on an RTX A4000
Have random stutters while exploring the map me too, but not in races.
