While a lot of people like that, there's something nice about having your music operate like the in-game radio stations (low volume for dialogue, playing over the speakers at the festival sights, stopping for cutscenes etc.). Is it worth modifying the game files though? Depends on the user.

Mixing is different, it does not cover engine sounds for example.

what acidic said! plus the ability to use skill songs and the loudness is changing while driving thru tunnels, water etc.

yea but i wouldn't bet on this happening anytime soon. they haven't even managed to remove the cheated rival times
