Pixelation issues?
Its been 6 months, are they ever going to fix the smoke, dirt and skymap pixelation issue?

The LOD is still terrible, object textures at every distance are dissimilar in terms of shape and colour thats why their transition is so clearly visible making draw distance terrible in this game.

*Outstanding Visual Style! Just wow!

The topic of the issue is LOD, extensive loss of quality as the object becomes more distant to the viewer. Also, you understand the photo mode does image processing right, as in the game doesnt really look like those photo mode screenshots, like those filters girls use to hide the faults.
That's why I made these screenshots without any filters. I played drift races at these resolutions before taking screenshots, it looks the same. I didn't make a videos because it's hard and YouTube makes it look bad, especially when we are trying to see the pixels. :beatmeat: But I recommend you to turn off vsync anyway.
Turn off vsync why exactly? Forza on PC has a history of vsync issues when off tho ive not actually tested it on FH5. Keeping vsync off is probably the safe option, in games generally not just forza, poorly optimised games are a stutter fest in the least with vsync off.

Also i think it processes the image right after you open the photo mode regardless of making a singe change, why it takes a while to open photo mode, it does a lot of stuff.

This screenshot would seem to indicate otherwise on the VRAM claim unless there is a support article I'm unaware of.

More odd lighting pixelation.
Now I see. This is your GPU. Your 3060ti has 8GB VRAM, which is not enough to play at extreme settings, even in 1080p. Low your graphics and udpade the driver (it came out just a couple of days ago).

No, it will just give you more fps. :3

No, no, no, you can def run a 3060ti on extreme settings with no issues, i don't know where you got that idea from. It just depends on the rest of his specs/monitor. We got a few ryzen 5 5600x paired with EVGA's FTW 3060ti's, 32GB Corsair 3600MHZ Ram, etc, etc, and have played/tested them, at all 1440p 165Mhz monitors @ 128ish FPS, little to no issues at all, it's moreso when in multiplayer the issues arise, and that's a whole other ordeal. This game is just so poorly optimized still, and still have Memory leaks as well. You may have to go back to a better Graphics driver too, previous version. We can play the blame game on computers all day long, but it's still this game causing most, if not all of it. Same issues since day one, being ignored. Be weary of where you are getting said information from, go to a verifiable source being this company, and look for all the information on it, way to many people on some of these issues, causing issues telling people to do this and that, when it's not even needed, suggest, not tell. This is a statement as a whole, not to point fingers. Last thing is having people's computers burn to the ground, lol, ya know.

That is a lie
8gb is enough to play horizon 5 at extreme, i can confirm that as i did run it myself at 1440p and it used up to 85% of available vram... Which is also 8GB

This makes me think it's a lighting issue causing the pixelation on smoke since it's illuminated.

Try asking the support ticket if its part of the other known issue with coloured pixelated texture bug or if its something else, because it looks very similar to that.

In Extreme? Legit asking, notg doubting this is teh case my card can't handle extreme anyway.

It looks the same without filters:

It takes a while to open because UI loading and it's changing to free cam

You can play it on any GPU. It will depend on the performance of the game and how it look.

You can run it on any GPU, as I said. I can also confirm that I'm playing at 1440p and it used 97% of VRAM, which is 11GB on my RTX 2080ti.

What about the fact that it's the recommended setting by the benchmark? That chart is also terribly useless without a resolution attached.

That screenshot doesn't indicate anywhere that it's specifically a VRAM issue versus a plain visual bug. I'd ask you to provide a specific source that addresses this, otherwise I'm going to believe what the benchmark tells me and assume this is a visual bug.

With 3070 at extreme settings with 4x msaa, i can play at around 100-110 fps with vram usage reaching maximum 87%.

But since turn 10 actually fixed ultra quality not looking like ps1 game anymore, i'm running most on ultra now with a mix of extreme and one medium quality setting lol

All of this because of GPU

So don't believe it then. Trust your eyes. You have a visual bug.
Also your problem may be because of low quality cable from the monitor.
Or maybe your GPU is defective or slowly dying. :meatytears:

3070 is better than 3060ti. And we still don't know what GPU the author has. I guess it's a secret. I asked him 2 times and not going to do it in a third, because he will probably just say 3090 or something.
